The lovely atmosphere
Go morgenmad.
Läget, bra frukost, charmigt, imponerande historia

Check in staff was nice and friendly!!
Everything was very dirty, especially the everything in the breakfast area. In there the tables were sticky and the cutlery in every buffet dish was not clean at all, but was greasy and had hardened food scraps. The food quality was also very bad, the scrambled eggs were overcooked on the top and undercooked. And all of the loose leaf tea containers appeared to have bits of food grease and dust stuck on them, it looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. The hotel has a lot of potential as one of the oldest buildings in Malmö but it feels like it was left in the early 2000s
Loved this hotel. The history is incredible, and the owners clearly care so much about it, with so many interesting old photos and displays throughout. Breakfast is in the vaulted cellars that date back to the early 1300s!! It’s also very comfortable, the breakfast was great, and we loved the library where you could help yourself to free tea and coffee. And it’s also the only family-owned hotel in Malmo I believe - all the others are part of chains, so this one deserves our support!
The only tiny issue was the flight of steps up at the entrance that you couldn’t avoid. Not a problem, for me but I was travelling with my 80 year old mum so I of course had to lug all the bags up! But a small price to pay for a genuinely delightful hotel.
