I found the location of the hotel excellent, everything is within walking distance. It has a relaxing soft aura.

Spectacular. Gabriella is the best. Would not have stayed but for her. Breakfast wonderful
We had an amazing experience, the hotel is classy and warm with a great breakfast selection. After a last minute itinerary change Gabriella was excellent in helping extend our stay!

The location and the atmosphere
This hotel looks great on the website pictures but on arrival it’s actually quite dated and a very tired looking and in need of a revamp.
We booked the hotel primarily because it was close to the centre of Reykjavik which is a big plus and it had free parking which is another plus but I’m sure there are better hotels of a similar budget to be had that offer a more modern and better hotel experience. Rooms are quite small and a little bit old fashioned.
On the plus side the breakfast room was welcoming, the breakfast itself was good with lots of food choices and the bar looked welcoming and all the staff at breakfast/reception were very friendly albeit one member of staff at reception who was a bit odd to deal with.
Staff were fantastic and as helpful as I would expect for a venue of this price.
Based there being no TV, Streaming services and or capacity to cast to either of the two Televisions, we wouldn't return. The price point, in my opinion, should very much include Television services.
The style of the hotel is warm and welcoming once inside. Like many buildings in Iceland they look nothing special from the outside. You must step over the threshold to explore. The bedroom was comfortable well appointed and had tea/coffee making facilities. Comfy beds. Batheoom & toiletries provided, hand or body cream woukd have been perfect in tje gold hsrsh weather of March. Communal areas comfy sofas, a library, bar area. Great location to walk into town. Free parking too
