Location
When I got to room the AC didn’t work when I tried to call the front desk the phone didn’t work. When I plugged in my charger the power outlet didn’t work. When I mentioned it to the person at the desk he didn’t really seem to care about what I said was not working. Wouldn’t stay here again based on those issues

Black mold on the ceiling
The night receptionist was unhelpful and unaccommodating, showing no empathy for my family's urgent situation. I definitely won't recommend or stay at this establishment.
Good location close to campus, down town, great value, spacious.
It was fine, no problems.
Near downtown
First room water on carpet in front of ac
Second room ac did not work. Went to lobby no one was there for 40 minutes. Finally got a third room which was nice.
Clean, staff professional.
They need to get standard pillows for the beds.
We stayed at the Lamplighter Inn & Suites as a group of 9 for one night and had a great experience. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy, which made everything hassle-free.
After reading some of the other reviews, we were pleasantly surprised, as they didn't reflect our experience at all. We found the hotel to be clean, tidy, and quiet, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable overnight stay.
It's a budget-friendly option that offers excellent value for money. If you're looking for an affordable, straightforward place to stay in San Luis Obispo, we'd definitely recommend it.
The bed was comfy
AC does NOT work, and in the hotel lobby I over heard the person at the front desk tell someone that none of there units have working AC. the room absolutely reeked of bleach and stale air. Even with the window wide open it made no difference. The room got really hot at night even with the window wide open and it being 57 degrees outside. The hotel provided a box fan which did not work, the key cards to get into the hotel room would randomly stop working and over the course of 2 days I had to go get 3 new key cards. Shower was dirty with rust all over the place.
Bald guy at the front desk should be fired
Good location
Location
I was met with outright hostility by the front desk operator who literally told me to go back to my room when I noted the following problems, hoping for a change of room and a fresh cup of coffee: no available Internet in the room, broken, shagging, shower, curtain rod, no non-decaf coffee, broken elevator with no sign. The front desk was closed at 9 PM and vague instructions were given to enter by a back door with the key card, which was difficult to find. I was told the hotel was "in transition" and when I asked what the transition was, the attendant would not tell me. Funniest experience I've had in a while.
The hotel is centrally located and close to eateries, brewing company and other places to check out.
We were on a motorcycle trip and after a long day of riding, we were looking forward to relaxing and hanging out in the spa, only to find out it didn't work. This was the whole reason we picked this hotel, because it had a spa and pool. We asked for pool towels, this would have been the time to tell us the spa was not working. We didn't find out until we got to the spa.
The location is great especially for easily walking into downtown San Luis Obispo.
Checking in I had to wait 35 minutes before anyone was at the desk and there was no one at the front desk when I checked out even though I waited about 15 minutes. Low staffing levels aren't ideal for a stay
