Categories

Cleanliness
7
Generally reported as clean ("Tout était propre") but several comments note bathroom aging, missing towels on arrival and some mould/poor bathroom corners, so overall mixed-cleanliness.
Service
8.5
Service generally praised: staff accommodated room requests, good reception and welcome mentioned ("L’accueil"), and helpfulness around room allocation; some isolated issues (charged water) but overall service is a strong point.
Location
8.5
Location repeatedly cited as positive: close to palmeraie, about 300m from a grocery and excursion agencies, and near centre — consistently favorable comments.
Room Quality
7.2
Rooms described as large, with fridge and air-conditioning, but some complaints about bathroom condition, small window to pool side, two singles pushed as a double, and average bedding.
Amenities
7.4
Strong positive for pools, indoor and outdoor, garden and unique architecture; negatives include poor maintenance of the indoor pool, lack of kettle/bedroom slippers and reported no Wi‑Fi in rooms for some guests.
Value for Money
6.5
Several comments raise value concerns: water being paid (considered scandalous), explicit mention that price is high for the quality — overall perceived as below expectations for cost.
Food and Beverage
8
Food widely praised — good buffet, varied Tunisian cuisine and enjoyable breakfast/dinner; a few comments note too-sweet items or general dislike by some, but overall positive.
Overall Experience
7.7
Mostly pleasant and calm stays with highlights on decor, garden and pools; a few notable negatives (paid water, bathroom maintenance, value) temper the experience but overall positive.

Travel through time
Pros:

Well situated, clean, beautiful place, friendly staff. Traveling to Tunisia is like traveling through time. The luxury hotels are like back in the 90’s in North America, it’s a fun experience. It’s a great thing to experience countries in this way, it remains luxurious but from a different point of vue.

Regal hotel in the middle of the dessert, could use a little updating.
Pros:

The stuff was very friendly and the hotel was wonderful

Cons:

The hotel facilities were neglected and the buffet was ok. Having complementary water for breakfast but not for dinner didn't make much sense.

Séjour sans surprise à Tozeur
Pros:

Chambre spacieuse, petit déjeuner correct, grande piscine.

Cons:

Le service spa n'était pas ouvert le jour de notre séjour. Nous avions choisi cet hotel justement parce qu il y avait un spa. Nous étions un peu déçus.
