This hotel reminded me of a youth hostel. It has Italian students staying regularly and being Latin they are not quiet banging doors shouting etc with no control from teachers.
Luckily none were on my floor but mealtimes was like a bunfight they had a separate eating area but if you timed it badly the locusts had cleared the buffet. Food in hotel was OK but often luke warm .,One morning we were first in restaurant when it opened and the food was still luke warm.
Bain Marie's seem useless had hotter food in Tunisia.
The Area around the hotel is pretty run down and could be intimidating for females travelling alone if they ventured out at night. On the plus side sea front not far away although in April Major construction going on with roads blocked.

I have stayed here twice a year for the last few years. This time was absolutely awful! I booked 19 nights at this hotel. After 10 nights I booked another hotel. The place is like a hostel / playground! There were over 100 students running riot until 3am some nights. Ignorant students without any respect for anyone else. Singing, banging doors, running up and down the corridors.
When I left, reception asked why I was leaving early, I explained and he just laughed and said 'ok'. They aren't bothered about the normal traveller, they are just interested in filling every room with students.
I used to recommend this hotel. Do not stay here! I definitely won't be staying again!

The room

I recently stayed at the Topaz hotel it's an experience I want to forget.The hotel is used for foreign exchange students mainly Italians,they were banging on doors in the early hours, singing chanting. In fairness the Staff were friendly and helpful but could not control the disgusting behaviour of the students.
The barman told that this happens all the year round. The food was not the best either.If you want a peaceful holiday in my opinion the Topaz is not the place to stay at, I had limited sleep every night and be honest could not wait for the bus pick me up and take me to the airport..

The fact they had a library :) and staff was super nice and so was the room:)

Just at the end of a 10 night stay and I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone. Ive barely slept for fear, as a woman on my own with a very young child. Large groups of teenage lads, very intimidating, running up and down the corridors kicking doors - bangs so loud they woke my child up and terrified him. Shouting and screaming, jumping from balcony to balcony so you suddenly have someone on your balcony in the middle of the night. Drilling inside this hotel started as early as 08.20 too. I like to give the benefit of the doubt, and believe in the good wherever we go - but this hotel was absolutely awful.
