Matala Bay Hotel

The room was small. The shower tray filled with water.

Overall our stay was good, the rooms were average size, bathroom could be a little bit bigger, pool was clean and nice , breakfast was very nice, except for the coffee which was very light, otherwise a good variety for breakfast,would stay here again

Location of the hotel was good and it had a pool which was useful on windy days and unusual for the area. The food at breakfast was very repetitive, however it was nice to have fresh yogurt and honey. At dinner, no soft drinks or water were provided which is the first time we’ve ever encountered this on a half board package. If we wanted water, we had to buy a 500 ml bottled water for 1€ which was 25 cents in local stores. The room was a nice and beds were made everyday, although linen and towels could have been changed more often. Not all staff were friendly and made us feel uncomfortable at times.

The room was basic and a little dated, although the bathroom had been upgraded and was very nice.
I was disappointed there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Pool and restaurant were both lovely.
Breakfast choices were excellent and varied.
All in all a great stay.

Pool is good, rooms are clean, it's a bit dated and showing it's age, some repairs are needed, shower tap fell off, airco rattles, bannisters are badly fixed, broken tiles. Some staff are sometimes very rude.

Établissement ne méritant pas du tout ses 3 étoiles. Chambre sale, mobilier vétuste et ancien. Personnel mal aimable, aucun sourire de la direction et de ses employés. Petit déjeuner industriel et infecte.

La chambre réservée n’a pas été fournie. A la place, une chambre “bidonville”. La direction arnaque délibérément les voyageurs. Expedia ne devrait pas proposer cet hotel.

Nice pool, good position. Good breakfast. However, the room is very small and the airconditioning was stinking. All in all good value.

tres proche de la plage et ville. calme, nelle piscine, mele si bb possibilità de manger a midi au bar de la piscine. grande double chambre familiale avec balcon tes lumineuse. bon prix.

The hotel is close to the beach. The hotel has own parking area. There is an elevator in the hotel. The rooms were clean, the staff was very nice. The breakfast and the dinner was tasty.
This hotel was good choice for us. I recommend it for visiting Matala.

Das Hotel ist reinlich und befindet sich im guten Zustand. Zum Kern und zum Strand kommt man locker in 5 Minuten. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist empfehlenswert. Das Bett war sehr unkomfortabel (Aufwachen mit Rückenschmerzen), während meine Partnerin sehr gut schlafen konnte.

Das Zimmer, welches wir reserviert hatten, bekamen wir nicht. Wir buchten eine Suite mit zwei Zimmern, bekamen ein kleines Dreibettzimmer. Das Personal war unfreundlich und frech, nachdem wir reklamierten. Wenn es nicht so spät gewesen wäre, wären wir wieder abgereist.
Es ist das letzte Mal das wir bei Expedia gebucht haben.
So etwas ist mir noch nie passiert.

Very clean & bright hotel only 7 minutes walk away from Matala beach. Helpful staff, nice pool & great Cretan entertainment on the Saturday night made this a very pleasant 2 night stay. Breakfast was provided too

Hôtel très bas de gamme.
Chambre vieillotte, lit très inconfortable, salle de bain d'un autre temps, douche minuscule avec rideau...
Petit déjeuner horrible, industriel, certainement des produits congelés, salle bruyante, cantine bas de gamme.
Je déconseille fortement cette établissement.
Seul point positif son emplacement proche du centre de Matala et de la plage.
