The wifi is the strongest we ever experienced in a hotel, and we were on the 5th floor!!!!

The room was lovely, albeit quite dimly lit. More light would have been great, especially around the bathroom mirror.

Pros:

Hotel Calypso has spacious rooms, high hygiene standards and friendly staff. However it needs to up its game to truly be considered a 4 star hotel. This criticism is not aimed at the staff who were impeccable, helpful and always with a smile on their face but the management that needs to up the standard of its facilities.

Cons:

The internet connection was a disaster. The TV in the room isn't a proper smart TV but a cheap terrible piece of junk. The breakfast, while abundant, is a sad selection of extremely bland foods. This hotel would be good if it was still 1995. Now it feels like it needs an upgrade, just like the rest of Marsalforn to be fair. You cannot keep offering this poor level of service as your hard working professional staff can only do so much to make the experience pleasant. Also, ditch shower curtains and use cubicles instead. That's a no-no for me also.

The place was clean and the location is very good. The breakfast was ok.

Cons:

This hotel needs an overall upgrade and refurbishment. The floors, bathroom, furniture and beds are too old fashioned.
