Staff were very friendly and helpful. They went over and above to secure a ride to the airport for us when our options slim.
Staff a bit ackward & unhelpful, the Hungarian lady in reception was a bit rude and unfriendly. Fridge in the hotel didn't work, plugs didn't work.. Quite an outdated place, like from the 80s.
Location ok, 5min walk from the beach. Just 5 parking spaces for all the Hotel, you have to park in the street.
A very nice and quiet hotel 50 meters from the sea. V´sery nice personel that speak English.
Can absolutelly recommend Hotel Sea Bird
The room's conditions in this property are terrible. The WFI hardly works and the children's swimming pool is in poor state (green mould in the borders).
No housekeeping on Sundays.
Breakfast is very basic, even staff make a joke with guests that the caviar of the breakfast are the croissants (which are not always available during breakfast time which is 07:30 - 10:00).
I was given a room that had a big whole in the toilet (drainage) it took for them to fix the lid 3 days and the excuse was "it is high season". What about children's safety? I stayed there with my toddler, I understand it is high season but at least I should have been given a "safe room for my child"
The only positive: most of the staff are very friendly and helpful
We stayed for a week at the Sea Bird with our six year old daughter and all three of us loved it. The room we had was more than big enough and cleaned every day. The buffet breakfast was just about right and the staff were always helpful and friendly. Also considering the time of year (mid August) we were surprised at how quiet it was. The other great thing about this hotel is it's location, it's literally a two minute walk to a really good beach. We would definitely recommend this hotel to a family looking for a relaxing beach holiday.
As always our stay at the Seabird was good.
Was just dissatisfied overall with the hotel. For the money... it was definitely not worth it.
The hotel was fine. Basic, clean, fine. The staff are friendly, the hotel is perfectly located for short airport transfer, beach, main street of Moraitika, bars and tavernas. And it was cheap to stay there. There are a few bad points The breakfast is sub-basic. Grey weak coffee, untoasted bread (and no toaster), boiled eggs with the grey ring around the yolk (indicating not fresh), just one type of cereal (cornflakes - yuk) and no fruit or honey for the yoghurt. The hotel is also very noisy - there are no carpets, it's all whitewashed concrete so you can hear EVERYTHING - beer deliveries at 7am, maids chatting, people leaving for early trips to the airport so suitcases being wheeled across tiled floor etc etc etc. Plus they hadn't filled the pool yet so we had to go to the beach. Also the bathroom is tiny - you can't even bend over in the shower to pick something up. And the door to the bathroom was just some sliding plywood that didn't shut all the way - luckily my husband and I travelled extensively in India so we're used to each other's toilet sounds!!!!! Not good for new couples or friends then!!!! But, you know what, we spent no time in the hotel, it was just somewhere to sleep, and the deal we got on expedia was so good we can't really complain. Go, it's fine, but have low expectations. The area more than makes up for it.
