Disappointed, not value for money.
Pros:

Nice setting,

Cons:

Bathroom, too small. Shouldn’t have showers over bath where screen makes it impossible to get out as the bath slopes and have to hold on towel rail to get out.
Could have provided more tea bags than 2 .

Really nice stay at Stifford Hall, it’s a lovely building. The rooms are really nice and the food was excellent.
Pros:

I stayed here mainly because dog the location and could the hotel to be really nice. The staff were great and the food was lovely.

Would have no qualms about recommending to friends.
Pros:

Had cold breakfast, lunch and dinner. All were above my expectations. Fresh food and excellent selection. Friendly wait staff. Very accommodating. Very quiet. Delightful grounds.

Cons:

I would have preferred to be on second floor for safety issues but there is not an elevator.

Was going to get my own taxi but receptionist insisted she got it. A mini bus for me only arrived which was quite expensive.

It did the job, and the staff were lovely and efficient.
Pros:

Good location for Cruises from Tilbury Docs only 10 mins drive to dock car park and terminal. Found out since that you can also book the hotel to stay over and park your veh for the duration of the cruise at £3 a day cheaper than the main terminal car park. Taxis are arranged between the terminal and the hotel.

Cons:

Not clearly signed when exiting the motorway and you invariably have to turn around and you can see the hotel sign better when travelling from the opposite direction. Evening meal was nothing to wright home about.
