Pros:

The hotel is in a good location with nice views and easy access to San Gimignano. The rooms are comfortably furnished but a little dated. We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children that specifically requested two twin bedded rooms. On arrival we were given 2 doubles and after protesting we were offered one twin room but told we would have to pay 100 euros extra for the upgrade despite twin rooms offered and booked on Hotels.com. They then suggested 80 euros. With two children we were not in a position to find another hotel. On checkout after complaining the reception lady took the amount of bill after refusing to pay it. Also there is no mention on the Hotels.com listing that extra charges are applicable for use of the spa facilities. We were charged 25 euros per adult for a 2 hour session in the pool, sauna, steam room. This should be made clear. We felt we were paying premium rates which included the use of this facility. If we had not encountered these problems I’m sure our stay would have been more enjoyable.

Skøn oplevelse, behageligt miljø, venlig betjening, flotte omgivelser, gode faciliteter og dejlig pool. Virkelige god restaurant med dejlig udsigt over dalen. Eneste minus var et par dage med manglende vand midt på dagen.

Hotel formidable, sobre todo por la ubicación, increíblemente tranquilo, con unas vista mas que espectaculares, el servicio de recepción muy amable sobre todo Alberto que es muy servicial, la comida y desayuno muy buenos, perfecto para una escapada romántica, a poca distancia del San Gimignano, solo el mobiliario de las habitaciones necesitaría un towue mas moderno pero con una cama gigantesca y muy comoda.

Hotel super agradable, en un ubicacion de ensueño, las instalaciones son bastante buena, el servicio de recepción muy atento y agradable sobre todo Alberto que nos atendió muy amablemente y simpatia, la comida y desayuno bastante aceptable y por poner una pega solo decir que las habitaciones deberia de estar algo mas actuales para el precio que tienen.

This luxury property is located on a hill in the Tuscan countryside, accessible via a windind road so its not walkable or convenient to anything else. But the incredible views, scenery and indoor spa made up for that. Its the only 4/5 star hotel near San Gimigiano i could find and the front desk staff were lovely and very helpful. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were good.

In dieser Unterkunft erlebt man die Toskana pur. Um die Umgebung zu erkunden ist ein Auto sinnvoll. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Zimmer sind praktisch und sehr sauber. Das Hotel, der Außenbereich sowie der Spa-Bereich sehr gepflegt. Das Frühstück ist einfach, aber gut. Wir können dieses Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.

Absolutely loved the experience we had with this spa villa! Beautiful grounds pools and dinning experience. Staff were very welcoming and always attentive. My only negative thought on this property would be the cost to using the spa at 40 euros pp not per room. Otherwise an exceptional stay!

We had a wonderful experience. The staff was outstanding in every way. Friendly, helpful, kind and knowledgeable.
The property is lovely and we had a spectacular view from our balcony. Food was plentiful and quite good.

Villa Sanpaolo was a perfect hotel base for our family from which to explore Tuscany. Our three rooms were comfortable and the facilities are great. We took a variety of day trips to many places within easy reach: Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa and the Chianti region towns. The hotel staff are friendly and always willing to make suggestions for places to visit, things to do, or book restaurants. We would highly recommend this hotel.
