Overnight stay at the Grand
Pros:

Room was clean and very spacious
Facilities were great and sauna was clean too!
Ordered room service and it came with great portion size! Value for money!
We got the breakfast buffet for $45 person which had reasonable variety.

Cons:

Checking in took a little while but otherwise everything was amazing.
Also the breakfast buffet ($45 per person) and valet ($60 per day) was on the steep side. But paid for convenience.

Always on point!
Pros:

The Grand is our preferred hotel whenever we come to Auckland. It's all in the name. It has all of the extra amenities that other hotels sometimes lack such as the pool, spa, sauna, gym, excellent restaurants and mostly importantly - rooms with a bathtub, and a view.

Cons:

I was disappointed to see that Zealong Tea is no longer being stocked in the rooms, especially as it's a premium New Zealand tea (and exceptional). It's one of the touches I loved the most.

Cons:

On m'a ponctionné 22€ de minibar que je n'ai pas consommé. Il y a eu un problème quand j'ai rendu ma clé, le personnel avait visiblement confondu une autre chambre avec la mienne, on m'a garanti que je ne serais pas prélevé du montant et pourtant, j'ai été débité.

Ajoutez à cela que je suis arrivé deux jour plus tard que prévu car mon vol a été annulé (à cause de la guerre an Iran) et que j'ai beau avoir prévenu en avance, RIEN ne m'a été remboursé, même pas les petits déjeuner que je n'ai pas consommé. L'hôtel, lui, a pu louer la chambre que je devrais prendre "grâce" à mon retard et parce que je les avais prévenu. Je n'ai jamais vu ça de ma vie, c'est tout simplement intolérable

Pros:

Easy access to the heart of auckland. The breakfast buffet at the 7th floor the terrace was very good. A buffet i’d come back to next time. The gym service was nice situated right next to the pool for those interested. Lastly the smoking area at the same floor was easy to access as well and i loved that. Also the view from the 18th floor of my room was great

Cons:

The room i was staying in the bathrooms hinge pin fell off, freaked me outZ tried to put it back in and got blackened between my fingers in the process. Also have to point out that the room seemed older.
