Highly recommend
Pros:

This was a last minute trip with my daughter.
We were delighted with the hotel. It was spacious clean and very well maintained. Breakfast was lovely.
The view was amazing from the balcony. Highly recommend.

I would like to highlight the customer service from 2 individuals was exceptional, Kis and Ven.
High level of customer service, and care for thier guests was good to experience. Friendly and very welcoming. Thank you.

Amazing hotel
Pros:

This hotel has been amazing from start to finish,1st couples holiday for us and we couldnt have asked for a better place to stay.Staff are superb and eager to please in every possible way.the building itself is located on quite a steep street,but its full of shops,bars,restaurants so we have been spoilt for choice on places to dine.There is a lovely rooftop pool which is closed at the moment (weather not quite warm enough for outdoor swimming) but staff up there cleaning and painting it ready for the busy summertime,it will be beautiful!plenty of lifts,very modern feel to it and absolutely spotless!Cleaners came every day to make beds,change towels and mop.There is a fridge,safe,hairdryer,wardrobe and chest of drawers with a chair and sofa in the room.Check out was easy and we were offered to use the luggage room to securely keep our case until we got picked up.Beautiful spa,with huge list of treatments which are reasonably priced.I had a detox facial and husband had swedish massage,we both left feeling completely relaxed and pampered!Bolt is an absolute godsend as the bus routes have been disturbed with extensive roadworks nearby.Cheap enough to navigate the island and such an amazing service,never waited longer than 5 mins and drivers are knowledgeable and friendly.We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Solana and thank all the hard working staff for making it such a great place to stay

Large & Modern Hotel, Great Location
Pros:

We stayed 3 nights here in October 2026. This is a large, very modern hotel with good facilities and in an excellent location, surrounded by plentiful shops and restaurants with tourist attractions. The war caves and shrine are within easy walking distance and on a bus route. The road is on a steep hill which may not suit anyone with walking difficulties. It was about a 40 min drive from Valletta.

We parked our hire car in the hotel car park – note you need to call in advance to find this as the satnav does not pick it up and the entrance is down a side road around the back. The car park is manned and is small with limited space and trick to manoeuvre in, but we managed fine and the staff were very helpful. There is a back door from the car park straight into the hotel.

The hotel itself is very nice – well kept with nice décor, large and spacious with nice communal areas. There was a small café with amazing looking cakes in the reception. They weren’t too expensive but we tried several and they were ok, but looked much better than they tasted.

The housekeeping for our room was not good – the cups in our room were dirty when we arrived (I washed them myself in the sink), there were drink rings from mugs on the side (I wiped it down), the floor in our room was grubby (bits kept sticking to our feet) and the towels had dirty marks on them (had to ask for clean ones). The towels were also very small and thin so hard to dry yourself after a shower. I would expect better from a hotel of this calibre. Room cleaners were not left a tip from us! All other areas of the hotel were clean and well maintained.

The rooftop pool area was lovely - large with two pools and a bar. All very nice but too cold to swim when we were there. The rooftop area did have fairly loud music on constantly though (I’m aware a lot of people enjoy this). There was a warmer indoor pool downstairs and a small heated outdoor pool.

Breakfast was a large canteen style area – a bit noisy but what you’d expect from a large hotel this size and type. All fine. There was a nice small outdoor quieter balcony area available, if you could get a table there.

The staff and service were all fine in general at this hotel.

Pros:

Breakfast buffet was amazing. The room was clean and spacious. The balcony was a bit on the smaller size but enough. Nataraya wellness and spa is amazing. You don’t need towels nor anything else. Massage packages are also great.
Restaurant Toska was good. Pizza was average but fish and pasta were good and good prices.

Cons:

Have in mind that soundproofing is not the best so you will hear people laughing in the room next door or in the corridor. Also you can hear everything from the outside through the balcony doors even though we stayed on the fourth floor.
Pool water was a bit cold for my liking.

Cons:

The staff in touch restaurant were not very good. We waited an hour and only two of the four of us had been given their starter. We had to ask for drinks as none were offered. We left before the starters were brought out due to the time. To sum up the experience. The service was terrible

Great hotel and staff team
Pros:

I have been staying at the hotel for two weeks with a large group over 20 people. Pierre The General Manager has been excellent, assisting with a few minor issues which were quickly resolved and to a very high standard, thank you. At the breakfast and dinner service is Sandip, he is very friendly and welcoming and helpful with any questions thank you Sandip for all of your care and consideration it's very much appreciated. This is a great hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. Very clean and comfortable with really good facilities. We have had a great experience and look forward to returning.

Pros:

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the whole visit. The rooms were cleaned every day and were spacious, clean, and the building is well arranged, which ensured a good sense of privacy.
One of the nicest spots in the hotel was the rooftop area behind the pool and the bar – a great place to relax. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. It is possible to walk to the beach, but for older guests or families the return trip might be easier by bus or Uber.

Cons:

Breakfasts were tasty and plentiful, although the selection was not very varied.
