We loved the decor and the included breakfast was excellent. Our room was very comfortable and had great biews.
Shower shampoo was hard to squeeze out but staff will sort it.

There are no amenities in the room ie no fridge, no kettle, no microwave . It’s basically like an upscale hostel
The location was fantastic. Really close to the facilities downtown, as well as the Art Centre and eateries. The property was like a home from home. The hosts were very friendly and great company. Will definitely stay here again when we return.
Beautifully restored old villa, perfect location opposite the Arts Centre and Tram stop, 5-to-10-minute walk to CBD and 15-minute walk to the Stadium. Off street parking. Great amenities and nice breakfast included. Secluded back garden and right next door to the funkiest bar in town (The Astro). Botanical Gardens 5-minute walk down the road, Art Gallery even closer! Recommended.

NOT EVERYBODY IS SOCIAL AT 07.30 - A SOMEWHAT FORCED ATMOSPHERE.
EXCELLENT SHOWER AND THE CURRENT TREND OF WALL MOUNTED (LET'S SAVE A PENNY) SOAP DISPENSERS ACTUALLY WORKED, WELL DONE.
COLD ROOM, JUST COULDN'T GET IT WARM.

Everything. Lovely place.
The classic nature and details were incredible. The staff was very good and made us feel welcomed. The variety of breakfast was interesting to us as were able to try different things each morning. We loved the availability of coffee - whenever you wanted it!
There are so many restaurants in Christchurch, we wanted to make sure we hit "the best for us". I always "quiz" the front desk folks, for recommendations or hints. Although the recs were provided, I felt like there was a bit of "convincing enthusiasm" missing. I found out that this is because these folks hadn't had a chance to explore them so much. I recommend that the local restaurants give them an incentive to come so they can pass along the good word to the customers.
