The location was central and the staff was helpful.

Cons:

I had to walk up two sets of stairs with my heavy suitcase to get to the elevator and reception. The room was basic and clean but for the price of $170 I had expected a bit more luxury.

Top für Partypeople und für den Kurzaufenlhalt
Pros:

Wir hatten nur einen Tag/Nacht Aufenthalt in Reykjavik.
Aufgrund der tollen Lage, mitten in der Altstadt war es für eine Übernachtung ok! Personal war sehr freundlich und das Frühstück gut!

Kleines Zimmer (Jugendherberge Style)

Definitiv keine 4 Sterne!

Great location, clean and pleasant hotel, staff. Old building, not up to disabled accommodation.
Pros:

The location of the hotel was great. The breakfast and early options were very nice -- great quantity and quality of fresh foods for variety of tastes.

Cons:

I did not like the steps and crooked, iron handrail. The handrail should be replaced. The staff were accommodating for the steps. I did not like the walk to the bus stop. I thought vans would pick one up at the hotel (before booking). I have physical limitations with steps.

Location was perfect
Pros:

great location, right on Laugavegur, close to so much fun. I had a single room, perfect for one person. Breakfast was included, so I enjoyed bagels, juice, coffee, and fruit to begin my busy sightseeing days.

Excellent place in Reykjavik
Pros:

The room was nice and well equiped, the staff was really kind and helpful. Location was perfect, near everything you need as a tourist.

Cons:

Breakfast wasn't that good, overall it was quite limited. The coffee was bad, the ham and cheese was not good either. It can be improved

We enjoyed our stay at the Center Hotels Skjaldbreið
Pros:

My wife and I stayed at the Center Hotels Skjaldbreið. We chose this hotel because of the price and location. We did not know what to expert because we had not visited Iceland before, but when we arrived at the hotel, we felt we made a good choice. The hotel is right in the center of town. This made it easy to get to restaurants, sites and venues by walking. The room was comfortable. The beds were ok. The shower was small. The breakfast was satisfying. The staff was excellent. If we have the opportunity to return to Iceland, we will certainly consider staying at the Center Hotels Skjaldbreið if rooms are available.

Die Sauberkeit und mehr nicht

Cons:

Das Bad ist bloß 2 m2 klein, keine Bewegung möglich.
Von allen Mitarbeiter war nur einer freundlich, der beim check out.
Das Frühstück war sehr schmal.
Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war unfair. Ich habe 208 Euro pro Nacht bezahlt. Dafür bekomme ich in einer Weltstadt wie Rom ein Hotel mit 5 Sterne. Dieses Hotel hat angeblich drei, das entspricht nicht der Wahrheit.
Ich bin sehr enttäuscht.
