Schöne Unterkunft mitten in den Sassi
Pros:

Schönes Hotel mitten in den Sassi mit tollem Ausblick in die Schucht und auf die Felsenkirche. Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig.

Cons:

Die Küche war nicht besonders gut. Aber das ist ja bekanntlich Geschmacksache ;-)

Perfect. The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Rooms amazing, staff polite and professional, view from room stunning. Great food and wine. Can’t recommend highly enough.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of Matera and perfect for exploring the city. The staff is outstanding—very attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed.

The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of fresh and high-quality products. The view is simply breathtaking and makes the experience even more special.

Everything was spotless and very well maintained. We stayed in Room 44, and it was absolutely beautiful—spacious, comfortable, and full of charm.

I highly recommend Sant'Angelo Matera and would definitely stay here again!

We slept in a cave and also had a wonderful dinner on the terrace. Thank you

We wanted to stay in a Cave room. It was a great room, but it also got very hot. The bathroom too was hot and stuffy. The staff did respond to our request for a fan. I think perhaps a fan in the bathroom would be an improvement. We had great dinner on the terrace in the restaurant. Our waiter Antonio was terrific at his job, welcoming, suggested dishes and lots of fun. Thank you
