Club Regina Cancun

The unit was clean and comfortable, but is quite dated and should be renovated. The facilities are acceptable and the staff are responsive and friendly. The added check-in cost are absorbatant.

We stayed at Club Regina Cancun during New Year’s Eve week in a two-bedroom suite, and space-wise, it was great. The suite could easily sleep six people, and when we arrived, the pull-out bed in the living room was already set up for us. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and utensils, which made it super easy for a longer stay.

One thing that really caught us off guard, though, was being charged around $400 CAD at check-in for local taxes. For a one-week stay, that felt pretty steep and definitely something I wish I had known about in advance.

The resort itself is located at the very end of the Hotel Zone, but getting around was actually easy and cheap. There’s a bus stop right outside the property, and for just $1 USD each way, you can get to the main strip in about 20–30 minutes depending on traffic. We stopped at Selecto Chedraui on our first day to grab groceries, which worked out perfectly.

The staff here were honestly lovely - everyone we interacted with was pleasant and kind, and I have zero complaints about the people working at the resort. That said, I’d still give Club Regina 3 stars overall, mainly because the property is showing its age and could really use some updates. One of the sink faucets was leaking, one of the showerheads sprayed water everywhere, and the railing outside our suite had visible rust and deterioration. We also noticed ants around the sink and dining table. These felt more like maintenance and management issues rather than cleanliness problems. I do want to give credit where it’s due: the housekeeping team did an amazing job. The suite was clean, and it was clear they were putting in the effort.

We didn’t end up trying the on-site restaurants, but every staff interaction was positive. The beach area was well maintained, and we never had trouble finding lounge chairs, even during a busy holiday week.

Overall, Club Regina Cancun offers spacious suites, friendly staff, and easy (and cheap) transportation — but between the surprise taxes and the need for renovations, it’s a stay with some definite pros and cons.

We booked the resort on travel points and the room was huge and had everything we needed (and more). It was great to have a kitchen that we could cook in so we didn't need to go out for meals. The staff were friendly and helped us with everything from basic directions, arranging taxis and even arranged last minute transportation from the airport to the hotel on arrival.

This is a very familiar and personal hotel, near the end of Zona Hoteleria in Cancun.
It is an advantage for the excursions, to come home early.
They have not all inclusive as a claim. The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay like bar, restaurant, pool with a lot of personal entertainment, minishop and a well equipped gym.

We have been coming to this resort since 2012 as the location on the beach is fantastic.
This resort is away from the crowded downtown area, so it is definitely more relaxing and quiet.
The staff have always been so wonderful with their friendly, helpful and accommodating attitudes.
We will definitely be returning to this resort

Royal Holiday club vacations. Excellent Experience with Ecker Sanchez and Cynthia Tello, we happily dumped our timeshare and joined the club, amazed at the variety of top-notch properties throughout the world, and the affordability of the program, plus many additional benefits. There was ZERO high pressure sales pitch, it was all clear, smooth and comfortable throughout, their offices are high tech, very welcoming atmosphere. We went to Club Regina in Cancun.

Older building and out of the entertainment as well as restaurant areas. Building was being painted. So there was a strong odor of paint and cleaning fluids in our bedroom/living space.

We had a good time there. Property is at good location with ocean view however it is bit outdated rest everything is good here specially the price on which we booked make sense to stay here.

We love Club Regina and especially their buffet breakfast and ocean view.

I stayed 6 nights. The property is a good value and the staff is excellent, friendly, and very attentive. The pricing on alcoholic beverages is excessive and feels like Vegas. The rooms are good. However if you are on the street side , you will hear traffic. Biggest complaint was the moldy, mildew smell coming from the Air conditioner, I was waking up with headaches from the mold. I finally resorted to turning it off, and it was better. The room stayed cool enough because I was on the bottom floor. This is a problem with high humidity climates and older buildings. Being on the bottom floor did come with disadvantages of hearing activity above me. The staff is awesome. Next time I visit I will stay pay more money for a 4 star newer property. The whole mold issue is a deal breaker, I also smelled it in the Gym Area, so you know it's moldy through out the whole building vent system. They did send a tech out, and he put some deodorizing tabs in it. But that's only a band -aid for smell, and did not kill the mold, so know your breathing deodorizing fragrance and mold.

Warm welcome, this property is extremely clean, pools are very clean, rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Love the location at the south end of the Hotel strip. Local buses are very easy to use for transportation along the hotel strip area, plus the ferry terminal to go to Isla.

A thoroughly enjoyable trip for our family. The resort was very nice and easily accessible from the airport and to dining, shopping and hanging out.

Our stay at Club Regina Cancun truly exceeded our expectations. Photos on line don't do it justice. It is a smaller resort but big on service. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There are lots of activities available but nothing is shoved at you. You are free to relax and enjoy the pools or the beach. We had a wonderful week!

absolutely perfect!

This was a friends vacation with another couple; we purchased this vacation from a fundraising event. We were intrigued with this property as it had a kitchen and both couples enjoy cooking some without spending money on restaurants. Upon first arrival we found the property to be away from the hustle and bustle of the Hotel Zone; this was a plus for us as we are not partiers, but enjoy relaxation. The property was clean and neat, we were greeted by hotel staff immediately and with a smile; check in was great. The room was clean and ready for us, decorated with the standard mexican vacation design. The property is older and really could use an upgrade; if you are looking for a five star property, this is not the one, but it is clean and nice. The staff were amazing,as we find in most of Mexico, they love tourists. Overall we would stay again, and do recommend it if you want a simple place to relax.

Beautiful establishment…. Amazing hotel

We really like this resort. It is more intimate than the larger resorts and it feels like you get to know staff well. It is a bit dated, but they do a great job keeping it up and it is very clean. The price of the morning buffet is reasonable and very good. The other food available is at the pool bar and is also very good with happy hour specials every night for food and drink. I do think they need more help at the pool bar as it takes quite a while to get drinks and food. But the staff takes care of all the beach area too. It has public transportation that comes right to the end of the resort drive and goes all the way down Cancun Strip. Ony $1.00 American per person each time you get on. I do wish they had regular Bingo for their older guest. They play a Mexican version with pictures but is has to be done in Spanish as it is fast and so they don't have time to translate. But they do have blackjack every day and that is fun. The recreation staff was so very friendly and helpful and really everyone was so nice and helpful and we felt very safe too. This is one of our favorite resorts.
