A disappointing experience of a uk hotel - dated and worn
Pros:

The bed was ok.

Cons:

The shower in the room was terrible. Trickle flow. The bathroom smelt of drains.
It’s clear the rooms haven’t been renovated / decorated in some time. It had a musty smell and the carpets look 30+ years old.
Could do with a full length mirror in the room.
There are no plugs by the bed to charge phones.
Terrible coffee in the breakfast, no fresh fruit or healthy breakfast options.

Cons:

Tiny boiling hot dated room. We asked to move and got an even worse room in terms of decor. Curtains hanging off the rail. Broken sash window. Just shabby. And the second room was only marginally cooler because we had two fans on all night plus the window open. Staff were lacklustre. Breakfast for £12.50 not worth the price.

Colazione è sicuramente l'elemento forte della struttura sia dove viene servita sia la tipologia. La struttura ha anche un bar aperto utile per bere qualcosa e un giardino esterno.

Cons:

Il ristorante aveva poche cose e non abbiamo avuto molta scelta. Le camere sono limitate e non hanno l'aria condizionata.. cosa indispensabile oramai. La pulizia era ok, ma il bagno è da rimodernare. Infine la struttura è un pò troppo vicinia alla strada e non si ha a pieno la sensazione di una casa di campagna.

Gewoon een goed hotel voor een kort verblijf.
Pros:

Vriendelijk ontvangst en personeel. Goed en lekker ontbijt. Het restaurant was ook heel goed. Ruime parking. Ruime kamers en badkamer. Het hotel had zijn leeftijd, maar was proper.

Lovely old hotel.great fascia! A bar. Friendly staff

No lift
Not that clean
No fresh juice at breakfast as supply not delivered and food running out v quickly as only small batches made. Coffee machine poured a frothy milk latte with no coffee in it
No bedside tables
Plug sockets other side of room not behind bed to charge your phone
Paper thin walls so extremely noisy
Our room looked down on to the bins
Very tired decor and furniture in need of sprucing up
Boiling hot room with a fan that even on the high setting, you could not feel
Lumpy pillows
Terrible night sleep
Email to manager who still hasn't even acknowledged. Rude!

Pros:

Staff were fantastic. Friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice enough. Good selection of food.

Cons:

Rooms were a bit dated. Shower water pressure could have been better. Also, could do with turning the towel heater rail off in the middle of a heat wave.

Well placed for county show and better eating venues

Cons:

We stayed three nights. Toilet was not working, the cold water was always running warm, with the hot tap spluttering and stopping. The manager told us to lift the cistern lid and adjust the fault with the mechanism each time the toilet was used.
There was a fee of £25 to have the room serviced at any time during the stay. The price paid for one night stay was the same with Booking.com as direct booking with the hotel but the direct hotel booking included breakfast, there was no notice of this on line. The one breakfast we had was poor quality and lacking in variety. The restaurant and bar staff were abrupt, and lacking in any customer service skills, while the manager was politely dismissive

Very poor won’t stay again

I was travelling for work and working nights I told staff that I was sleeping in the day and it was put down on the system not to be disturbed but in the morning they decided to do maintenance in the rooms next to mine and drilling and hammering

A hotel in a good location with a bit of charisma, great for parking.
Pros:

The building is nice, the restaurant has been improved.
