Pros:

The hotel appearance is nice and looks like a 5-star hotel. However, it needs to do some upgrade of the carpets due to normal wear and tear. In general, the hotel is nice and the price is very decent.

this was old and run down, carpet terribly stained, floor and bathroom dusty, mini fridge didn’t work, sink plug didn’t work, cupboard light gave me a shock (not properly insulated). very old and run down - not maintained. not a single chair or lounge in foyer. buffet breakfast was very poor. good location and that’s about it.

Stick with their cheap rooms only.
Pros:

Very dated hotel. We booked a cot but didn't get one until the last night. They only offered more blankets and the floor but we'd insisted on a bed.
We had multiple rooms, the cheap ones were renovated with hot water, the more expensive ones were from yesteryear badly in need of renovation with only mildly warm water.

Maintenance crew needs more investment
Pros:

We had 3 rooms, the two rooms at lower levels were nice besides basic plumbing and maintenance issues but the more ‘premium’ room was very lacking. Water took 5 minutes to become warm, never hot. We had to boil the kettle to get water to right level to give baby a bath so we know the temperature. Poor plumbing and maintenance, loud elevator noise and people coming and going via a fire escape at all hours echoing into the bedroom. Bedroom view was of a padlocked balcony with the decorative fake bricks pealing back.
Less premium rooms seemed much nicer and just as spacious, they also had hot water though drains all need a good clean. Is an easy 2 star for the top room and 3 stars for the lower rooms. Stayed there as they promoted a free cot which even we’d booked for was not available without some alternative solution offered by staff.
Pretty sure the room we were assigned was not one that was renovated in any recent decade if we look at the state of the heavily torn carpets and old wall panelling.
They mentioned some new shower head but the shower we had could only use the old one as the roof was heavily rusted and shot in all directions.

This 5 star property to me is probably 4 star at best? The hotel is actually quite nice but its abit run down. The air outside feels cleaner than my room. But overall i think its pretty great in terms of location amenities and its beautiful. BUT there is a day staff named Carine and a night staff guy with pony tail. They have VERY BAD SERVICE. Their service makes this hotel cheap like budget hotel. Carine’s attitude is very bad, doesnt greet or help n will make some remarks etc. The guy with pony tail hair, we happened to approach the counter to check something on 2 seperate nights, he doesnt greet, no smile, after hearing out queries jus look down and ignore us. Both times the colleague beside him have to answer out questions. This 2 staff ARE TERRIBLE.
