Location and nice view from the restaurant

Panoramic view of city from ninth floor restaurant. Food was very good also. Decor was very pleasing and staff friendly and helpful. Terrific location and Metro close-by.

The pluses - location, close to underground and direct road to airport, fast free WIFI, comfy beds. Minuses - poor shower, poor breakfast, dirty entrance.

I stay at the Ambassador every time I visit from the US, and have never been disappointed. Whatever the hotel lacks in outside glamour it compensates in efficiency and convenience. It is very clean and neat. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are quiet. Location is great - 3 min walk from a metro/subway station and 20 min walk from Nevsky prospect. This year, breakfast was somewhat a disappointment; but this may be due to the COVID related issues. Lunch was good though. My only grudge is the fact that there are no studio rooms with a spectacular view on the dome of the St. Isaak's Cathedral, so one has to make a choice between the room space and the view. Otherwise - a great place to stay in SPb.

The place is very clean. The extra Covid measures are obvious and appreciated. The view from the dinning room is one of the best in the city. The food is ok. Not expensive and value to cost, great. But it could be better, and with that incredible view...a missed opportunity. Room service was top notch. Great value overall.

Nice hotel in the city center, close to transport, with spa and pool

I’ve booked room with breakfast and since I had very limited time I go to breakfast and make myself coffee, I smell it and only want us to drink it - the boy comes and get coffee out of my hands, telling I didn’t pay for beeakfast😳 really?! So I go down to Front desk and they verify I paid for it, but I already have no time left😳 VERY RUDE!
The rooms don’t get locked from inside and anybody from hotel stuff can get in while you sleep. UNSAFE and RUDE STUFF! Won’t ever stay there again, even through hotel looked good on photos😔

It was fine. For the price (or a bit higher) you can get much nicer amenities in a comparable area. The detail of the gym/pool/sauna only being available to guests (without extra charge) until 11:30 in the morning felt absurd and unwelcoming.

Well positioned hotel in centre of the city. Great access to metro and all tourist areas. B/fast buffet was good although a little expensive.

Staff were excellent with good English all round. Special mention for Tatyana who worked in the lobby bar and was excellent.

I would definitely return if visiting St Petersburg again.

The Hotel and staff were excellent, the property well maintained sadly I did not have time to go for a swim. The restaurant was fine, good food and courteous pleasant staff. Other guest at te hotel were friendly and polite.

very convenient location, close to many attraction. A little confusion if you call taxi- need to order from Lobby, not from a room-otherwise driver is waiting at the other entrance, which you don't know.
Biggest surprise- swimming pool/sauna charge after 11:30 am. This is ridicules, people coming back from all day walking trips and has to pay for swimming pool or sauna. This is a first time I see this! I really enjoy my morning swim and warm up before leave for a day, but it would be nice to have this service available at night as well.
No kettle in the room, but been delivered upon request.
Room nice and clean with comfortable mattress, so you can have nice rest at night.
Breakfast- it is one of the highlights on this hotel- panoramic view, excellent service, delicious food with good variety.
on my next trip to St Petersburg- i would like to return to Ambassador Hotel.

Excellent location, close to historical center. I don’t like the view from my room, I could only see the rusty roofs of the buildings.

The hotel has a good location and the breakfast was nice, but the room was incredibly dirty. A lot of stains on the carpet as if it was not cleaned for ages, a dirty mini bar and even one of the curtains in the room was torn down. I could except almost anything in a hotel, but a dirty room is the most important thing for me as a guest.

Nice hotel,clean,good location, subway station 10 minutes away. Very snobby front desk person, horrible attitude, he said to me that he works there for five years (“he knows everything”) I did not expect that, reviews was so good. I traveled quite a bit. Too bad not a good feelings from that hotel because of one person.
