Location
Room smelled of cigarettes, messed up reservation, facialities are dirty, decor needs updating
The view from our room and also being on the highest floor
Under the bed was someone's name badge from an event they attended 10 months ago. Bed runners at the end of the bed were stained.
Everything including the view and just how comfortable it was
The view
The room was in bad need of a update, the carpet was frayed, the air conditioner did not work, the elevators took wayyy too long to get to the floor you were on. Overall I was charged way too much for a 1 star accommodation.
Klantvriendelijke mensen.
I’ve stayed here before and chose the hotel again because of its convenient location. It’s reasonably central and within easy walking distance of the city centre, Britomart, and Viaduct Harbour, which makes it easy to get around Auckland.
Overall the stay was fairly average rather than there being one specific issue. It looks like the hotel is in the process of upgrading some rooms, which is great to see, however the renovation workmanship in my room didn’t appear to be finished to a particularly high standard, with some visible grout and silicone around the tiles and bathroom fixtures and rough tile edges which could cause injury. Toilet roll holder was also loose. The bed was also a little too soft for my preference, so it wasn’t the most comfortable sleep. That said, the price was very reasonable for Auckland CBD (around $660 for four nights) and the location is excellent, which made it convenient for getting around the city.
Lovely staff and nice location
Layout of our room was odd, would have been nice to have the TV in the bedroom, or the couch at a different angle
Bed was also extremely hard
Das Appartement war groß und man hatte einen super Blick auf die Stadt, die fußläufig in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen war
Badezimmer winzig. Bettwäsche total vergilbt, allerdings zu spät gesehen. Schränke nur teilweise zu benutzen.

Our room was great and comfortable and clean and our view was fantastic. Even the "instant coffee" was surprisingly good. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. We walked a lot right from the front door all around. There is a lovely park very nearby and the waterfront is about 10 minutes walk.
The lobby and gym area really need refurbishing and honestly give an impression that the hotel is not nice, however we were very happy with our room.
