Luxurious Haven of Tranquility in the centre of crowded but beautiful Positano.
Pros:

Beautiful hotel with lovely gardens in the centre of Positano and a haven of peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle of the very busy town. Friendly, polite service and excellent food. Not cheap but nothing in Positano is. Pool very small but good for cooling off in. I just walked down to the public area of the beach for a proper swim. Complementary idyllic evening boat trip laid on by the hotel. My wife and I stayed here for a week and highly recommend it.

An Oasis in Positano
Pros:

We just completed our third stay at Hotel Palazzo Murat. It is a true oasis in the midst of Positano. Everything was perfect again. Every single person is so helpful and welcoming. We particularly enjoyed the relatively new cooking class with Carmelo. He walked us through the preparation of delicious gnocchi and eggplant parmesan, sharing many of his grandmother’s tricks with us. We then ate our dinner out on the beautiful patio. On our next visit we will be sure to do it again. Thank you again for such a superb visit!

Superb
Pros:

Amazing hotel, spotlessly clean, great staff, lovely food, outdoor infinity pool with views to the sea, great restaurant, snack bar and cocktail bar. Beautiful rooms and great views from various parts of the large gardens and rooms. All the staff were fantastic led by Leonardo Bottone (Manager) who was so personable, caring and a great leader of a great team, not to forget Nello who looked after us in the cocktail bar in the evenings !

Definitely a good choice
Pros:

We loved the rooms, the buildings, the food and the service. The view is spectacular. Everything was worth the money

Cons:

The breakfast and the buffet could be improved. Food for breakfast was not very delicious, but dinner was very good.

Overpriced; not worthy service

Garden, flowers and trees, the main building, location (before the weekend)

Cons:

The manager who was very rude, poor at his job, didnt care to inform us there was going to be a wedding on Saturday, didnt inform his team properly as to where we could sit and where not, couldnt even apologize but instead tried to blame us. It was awful. He tried to blame employees too. Very unprofessional and incompetent. Also on Saturday, even at 3:40 am there were drunk people screaming on the otherwise quiet street outside. The employees did not seem happy - now we think could well be because of the management

A great stay
Pros:

The location, the staff, the morning breakfast, the baby friendly atmosphere, the bed was very soft

Cons:

It was a bit cold, although it was spring but the staff brought us a Dyson Heater and sometimes you could smell the old property but in general in the main rooms and reception in smelled very good and was very comfortable

Heaven on earth
Pros:

Everything is amazing about this hotel, the magic garden, great restaurant and amazing service. You step away from the very crowded street to find yourself in the tranquil oasis. The General Manager Leonardo personally greets guests and attends to their needs. The food is so good that we ended up having breakfast, lunch and dinner there without venturing out to check the local restaurants. Would love to come back next time

Amazing hotel - everyone should stay there!

What can I say? The Palazxo Murat is not only a haven of peace and tranquility but it is also a place where you feel so warm and welcome. The staff members - from management, reception, waiting staff, the chefs, housekeeping to name but a few are all, without exception, truly professional, welcoming, caring and respectful and they clearly make it their mission in life to ensure you have the most memorable stay at their hotel. My friends and I have been fortunate enough to stay at some amazing hotels all over the world but this little gem of a hotel beats them all. Incredible!
