Excellentes hotel. Essen war Entäuschung
Pros:

Suite war excellent. Personal excellent. Hamam super.

Cons:

Beef tartar sehr gut! Das Patty vom Hamburger war geschmacklos und rare bei Medium Bestellung. Die Pommes waren trocken und abgestanden.😞

The location

Cons:

They call themselves a Palace but they have petty behaviour: breakfast included but not coffee if espresso or cappuccino, not eggs if sunny side-up or omelet. You are welcomed in your room by a bottle of water. If it happens you stay more than one night (meaning more business for the hotel and less care required than a turnover of room every day), you can’t get that free bottle. You have to order it from room service.
My complaint is not about the few euros, 10/20 max. you have to pay extra but the fact they take advantage of you in a petty way. Not classy at all for a “palace”.
Thessaloniki was the last stop of a road trip through Europe (Berlin, Prague, Warsaw, Budapest, Sofia). We have slept in 14 different hotels quite similar to the Makedonia (Btw, I strongly recommend the Corinthian in Budapest). None of them were making us pay for an expresso or an omelet at breakfast.
It’s a pity as the Makedonia has many things to offer. But we will choose an alternative hotel next time we are back to Thessaloniki.

מלון מאד נוח, אמנם לא יפה אדריכלית מבחוץ אבל כמלון עירוני היה מאד טוב.
Pros:

מיקום מעולה חדר עם נוף לים. ארוחת בוקר איכותית ומגוונת, חסר עוד קצת אפשריות ללא גלוטן בעיקר בקינוחים. מיטה נוחה וחמאם יפה מאד. מתחם המלון נגיש גם לכיוון הטיילת יש מעלית חיצונית בהפעלה עצמית מאד נוחה.

Cons:

חסר ספא במלון עם ג'קוזי וסאונות. יש חמאם מאד יפה אבל ציפנו למתחם ספא טוב יותר. חדרי המסג' לא היו נגישים ונאלצתי לעלות מדרגות עם קביים.

Es war Ok aber nicht überwältigend.
Pros:

Grosse Eingangshalle und Restaurant mit hohen Räumen.

Cons:

Lifte sind viel zu langsam. Den Cappuccino und Spiegeleier muss man separat bezahlen, in einem 5-Sternehotel muss es dabei sein. Wasser im Hotelzimmer muss auch dabei sein.
