The location (lake) + food

Cons:

Toilets were dirty and dated.

Toilet seat was broken (reported to reception).

My partner is pregnant and ran a bath and half way the water was cold (reported to reception). Reception advised their boiler has clicked in and out and it was been replaced this week, however the shower was also lukewarm warm the following morning, major dissatisfaction.

Infinity did not cater enough beds for the number or people in one session, we were left sitting on two pull out chairs which is ridiculous.

Pros:

We always visit in January to beat the blues . Our meal on Friday night was absolutely 💯 delicious. The nicest surf and turf we have ever tasted. Staff are so helpful and just top notch.

No other hotel in Ireland compares
Pros:

The staff. Absolutely amazing service. No other hotel I’ve ever stayed in compares. They went above and beyond in every aspect, every member of staff was so helpful, welcoming and you could tell they loved working there because they were so happy. We will definitely be coming back. Beautiful hotel also on glasson lake, so clean and decorated gorgeously.

Nice stay but not good value
Pros:

Views from room were lovely. The decor of the rooms is also very nice. Underfloor heating in bathroom was a lovely touch. Infinity pool area was relaxing. Staff very friendly.

Cons:

Food in restaurant was overpriced. You paid extra to have potatoes with the chicken. To use the only pool in the hotel, you paid extra per person for only 30 minutes. Given that the overnight rate is expensive enough as it is, this makes the hotel not good value for money. I believe guests should be given free access to the pool, even for an allocated amount of time, considering this is the case in most other hotels. Otherwise the stay is just a very expensive bed and breakfast.

Excellent hotel for a short break with the nicest staff
Pros:

From the moment we arrived,the staff were so welcoming especially Charlie at reception. The staff were excellent and carried out their roles brilliantly. They were all very personable. Surroundings very calm and tranquil with a beautiful room view onto Lough Ree.
