If you want a fantastic view - the sea view room was amazing. Pool not so great.
Pros:

Fantastic view from our sea view room and the room was well laid out and well equipped. Excellent gym facility. Handy to ferry services to Valetta and Gozo.

Cons:

The pool arrangements were very strange. Required pre booking a day ahead for a sun lounge and no ability to charge drinks from poolside bar to the room. We discovered that the pool and pool bar are actually run by a seperate entity NOT part of the hotel. The underground passage to the pool from the hotel smelled like a sewer which was offputting. Also, pool was basically a day time nightclub situation with DJ. Not our scene at all.

Pros:

One of a kind hotel, outstanding experience! Everything to the smallest detail was at highest possible standard. Location is beautiful, very communicative place. Staff is so kind and supportive. It was pleasure to be there!

Hotel itself nice, pool set up not what we expected
Pros:

Immaculate, modern high rise, luxury rooms with amazing views of Valletta. Probably best in Sliema. Indoor spa facilities. Food great, half board, staff attentive. Gym very well equipped

Cons:

The pool set up, feel this is quite misleading. The hotel shares their pool with ‘Manta’ which is a beach club. Can have access to the pool whenever, but only reserve sun beds the day before if availability, the areas reserved for hotel are away from the pool. Access to this is from hotel, through long basement. Party vibe felt quite intrusive, loud music that seemed to get earlier each day. Towels were handy. Service/staff around pool not in keeping with Barcelo standards. No outdoor areas with atmosphere in actual hotel.

Cons:

Ce voyage à Malte avait une importance particulière pour notre famille, car il avait pour but de célébrer les 60 ans de mon épouse. Nous espérions vivre un séjour agréable, familial et mémorable dans un cadre accueillant et respectueux.

Le 19 juin 2026, en fin d’après-midi, après être rentrés d’une croisière, je me suis dirigé avec ma famille vers le restaurant de la piscine de l'Hôtel afin de réserver une table pour le repas du soir. Le personnel m’a informé que cela n’était pas possible, car la salle était réservée. Il nous a conseillé de repasser le lendemain et d’aller manger ailleurs.

Je précise que nous ne parlons pas anglais et que nous nous exprimons principalement en français, ce qui a rendu la communication plus difficile. Nous venions également de rentrer d’une petit croisière au Lagon Bleu, et n’étions peut-être pas habillés de manière très élégante. Toutefois, cela ne justifie en aucun cas l’attitude que nous avons ressentie.

Ce qui nous a le plus blessés n’est pas le refus de réservation, mais les rires moqueurs qui ont immédiatement suivi, en particulier ceux d’une employée aux cheveux blonds. Ses rires étaient perceptibles dans toute la salle, insistants et déplacés. Nous avons eu le sentiment d’être jugés, ridiculisés et traités avec un manque évident de considération.

Cette situation a été ressentie comme humiliante, d’autant plus que ce séjour devait être un moment de célébration pour l’anniversaire de mon épouse. Je souligne également que le personnel ne savait pas que je séjournais dans l’hôtel, ce qui rend cette attitude encore plus regrettable, car le respect devrait être le même envers toute personne se présentant dans l’établissement.

Cette expérience a malheureusement laissé une mauvaise impression sur notre séjour.
Une lettre sera envoyée à la direction de l’hôtel afin de porter cette situation à leur connaissance.

Szep a kilátás. A benti medence és a szauna kicsi, csak néhány embernek van hely a medence körül.

Cons:

A kinti medence nekem úgy tűnt a szaladától független étterem. Az ottani személyzet arrogáns és nem segítőkész. Rádásul külön kellett fizetnünk érte. 😒
