Do not stay here unless you plan on cleaning and want to get a contact high.
Pros:

It was right on the beach and the view was wonderful.

Cons:

The cleaning staff was very rude. The room was disgusting, there were nats everywhere and we couldn't get them out. The bathroom had mold around the toilet and bathtub. The kitchen stove looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. So many people were smoking Marijuana that the smell was in thr room and you couldn't even go outside without getting a massive headache from the smell.

The elevator in North tower was out for majority of my stay, which was very inconvenient.

The worst Vacation We have ever had.
Pros:

Location was great!!

Cons:

They need to paint. The bathroom was awfully. The floor had not been moped. I took a cloth and tried to clean it. We could not walk on floor without wearing shoes. The elevator needs LOTS of work. We had to carry our suitcases and everything down Five flights of stairs. The pool needs cleaned They cleaned one time. I went out early every day that's how I know it wasn't cleaned.

Stay away or be disappointed.
Pros:

It was a great location because it's right on the beach and on the main strip of South Atlantic. The check-in staff was friendly and . The cleaning staff was friendly, but only gave us clean towels daily. The room is dirty and damp. The carpets were filthy and wet. The dressers had constant condensation on them, the AC did work, the doors did not open or close well. I was afraid my friend was going to bust his shoulder, trying to get the doors open. Has to be the dirtiest place we ever stayed. The pool was dirty, cloudy constantly. The owner can say it was just a temporary thing, but if you look at the reviews, many say same thing. We ended up here through Spinnaker trying to sell timeshare.

The staff was friendly

The building is extremely old , the pictures on the website are nothing like the reality. The locks of the doors in my room and my friend’s room did not work. At night I did used a chair and the iron board to secure the door from inside.
The room had a smell, the safe box was rusted , the bathtub have rust stains, the carpet looked old and dirty . The sheets,I can’t promise they were clean. The pillows were definitely not clean. .
The water in the pool looked dirty “cloudy “. Also was cold 🥶 very cold .
The problem is that when you book online , there are not refunds and the reviews (at least the ones that I read did not mentioned any of these issues and the pictures are completely fake . And the price was not exactly cheap . So disappointing ☹️☹️☹️

AMAZING Anniversary Weekend at the El Caribe!!
Pros:

Jenean really outdid herself in giving us an amazing stay for our anniversary!! She put us up in a 7th floor suite, which was unbelievably nice. My wife and I were floored when we walked into the suite. Jenean, thank you so much for taking such good care of us!!! Eric & Susan

If not for Laura, it would be a 2 star at best.
Pros:

This 5 star review is for Laura. She was super helpful and accommodating. She is definitely the kind of employee I'd want working for me. As a former front desk manager, I'd hire her on the spot.

Hotel definitely needed an update. Definitely paid for the beach view though. Can't imagine it would be that expensive paying for room quality.

Great Stay!
Pros:

Everyone was very professional, helpful, and courteous . Vicky, Wanda, Lester, Lisa front desk. Ron and Austin in maintenance. April our housekeeper. All were super nice and accommodating. Our room was old, but comfortable and suited to our needs. I had a service animal and it was the perfect setup for us. Thanks Again!
