Pros:

The room was lovely and very comfortable. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Food in both palm court and Nelsons delicious and well presented! Our treatments in the spa were lovely! We had my 70th birthday celebration in the Palm court and the staff were very accommodating!

Cons:

The pool needs a little updating..seems a little tired. Some upright chairs needed around the pool for mobility impaired guests. The rail on the hot tub is loose and rusty. I love the hot tub , but getting in and out was very difficult. Steps are so deep and I have issues with mobility so had to be helped out by other guests. Feel that the pool should be accessible for all.

Great celebratory couple of days away from home!
Pros:

We wanted somewhere nice to stay within an hour or so from home for a celebratory few days.
Grovenor Pulford is a Very good hotel with professionally minded staff that have a friendly attitude.
Good location. Comfortable room. Two good restaurants. Very good facilities.
We were celebrating an anniversary and the hotel and their staff made it that little more memorable.
We have stayed before and we will look to stay again.

Lovely afternoon tea, and fabulous for gluten free too.
Pros:

Fabulous afternoon tea at the Grosvenor Pulford. One of us is coeliac, and the
gluten free tea was just as good as the "regular" tea. Scones the same size as the non-gf ones and beautifully warm, tasty sandwiches on soft bread, and delicious cakes. The same can be said for the "normal" tea. There was so much food we could barely finish it. Really great service too - attentive, helpful and polite. Highly recommend.

Staff very rude, Room was dirty pubic hair in the bath and dirty pillow cases toilet was dirty.

Pros:

I was due to go to a spa day with friends i paid £145.00 i was unable to attend due to medical reasons Hotel refused to give my money back not helpful at all.

Nice clean stay
Pros:

Nice and clean and friendly staff

Cons:

First room cards didn’t work so had to go back to reception and then on check in asked if I wanted a dinner reservation which I agreed to booked for 18:30 in Nelson’s however when we went for tea no table was even booked. It was extremely busy

Pleasant stay
Pros:

The whole place was recently renovated to a high standard, whilst keeping the historic charm. The bed was very comfortable and I was especially grateful that the windows actually opened! The staff were excellent and very accommodating. Very good value for money.

Cons:

The bathroom door was very strange, leaves nothing to the imagination, not a lot of privacy. The breakfast brought to the room was quite dry, it's better to go downstairs in the morning and eat in the restaurant. The rooms are not soundproof so you can hear other guests trampling up and down the corridors at all hours of the night.

Waw what an amazing place, from very beginning to checking out the staff was all so friendly. The food in the restaurant was exepional. Our first get away together and it definitely won't be the last. Xx

Beautiful Stylish Venue but Blue Badge Parking needs attention
Pros:

Utterly beautiful, individual and stylish. Excellent food with choice of formal restaurant or gastropub. The grounds are very also very well laid out with a fountain, romantic lake and bridge, illuminated at night time for added drama. The Spa is an added bonus - free to use during the stay and like an exotic paradise.

Cons:

There are only 3 Blue Badge
Parking spaces!! This was a serious problem for me. Parking is very tight around the hotel entrance, although the parking area is extensive. Please allocate some additional Blue Badge Spaces.

Bate and switch tactics
Pros:

The website had a special valentines offer advertised. I clicked the "book now" button and selected our room and paid. Only to then be told the booking I made was not the valentines package I had selected and didnt include any of the extras advertised. Special thanks to Beth in reservations who refused to refund us, but did reluctantly offer to change the date of the booking so we could celebrate valentines day on different weekend - without any of the extras i paid for.
