This is truly an exceptional property: a beautifully restored/renovated Turkish governor's summer house built in the 1870's, right on the malecon. The interior has been lovingly maintained, marble floors and stairs everywhere, fantastic balcony overlooking the water, beautiful and spacious back patio area with pool and gorgeous plantings. The staff are lovely, friendly people, very attentive and welcoming. We were invited to order breakfast every evening for the following day and could specify where we would like to be served: in our room, out by the pool, on the balcony. We ordered omelottes with bacon and vegetables, soft-boiled eggs, croissants, yoghurt, orange juice, pots of coffee, fruit salad - everything cooked to order and fresh ingredients. Unexpectedly, towels and linens were changed daily. As this stay was the midpoint of our 3-week visit to Greece, we needed to get some laundry done and they cheerfully arranged for our clothes to be picked up, laundered and returned at the end of the day for a very reasonable fee, enabling us to get in more sight-seeing rather than spend the time in a downtown laundromat. We felt very, very well cared-for and this place added so much to our enjoyable week-long stay in Chania.
Please note that this observation doesn't qualify as something we "didn't like" but as a caution for visitors with similar considerations: tight spiral stairways. My husband is 81 and beginning to experience some imbalance issues so navigating the European-style spiral stairs is becoming a concern

Lidt ufleksibel morgenmadsarrangement, hvor man skulle bestille, hvad man ville have og på hvilket tidspunkt. Ventede nogle gange lidt længe på, at morgenmaden blev serveret. Morgenmaden var generelt lidt skuffende med trist udvalg af brød. Der er utrolig mange trapper på hotellet og i suiten. Suiten er i tre etager og toilettet ligger på øverste etage. Ret besværligt at komme på toilettet, hvis man opholdt sig i haven. Sovesofaen er desuden meget hård og smal.

Great hospitality and truly personalized approach by all the staff who were amazing. A special thank-you to Anna who really went well beyond to make us feel at home. Very comfortable spacious suites with all the amenities needed, a secured private parking. A big seaview terrace, a lovely swimming pool area with a dreamlike garden where you can enjoy your breakfast. The villa was fully renovated to all modern standards but it still preserves the air of times gone-by, which makes the experience so unique.
Lovely colonial hotel. Fabulous staff and a beautiful room. Breakfast was excellent.
The pool area is a bit run down. The diving board is a death trap and the steps into the deep pool barely reach the water, getting out is difficult. The sun beds are cheap and old, plus mosquitos lurk in the day time.
This place is a gem - walkable to the old town area but still feels quiet and removed . They have private parking which was a huge perk for us with a baby. The building is beautiful and the terrace was lovely for breakfast. The staff are all very kind and helped us out a lot. The room was comfortable.
Mosquitoes around the garden area. The multi level room is very cool and we enjoyed it, but would not recommend for children.
The villa had a lovely atmosphere-we felt instantly at home-Breakfast served on the balcony..amazing views over the bay and served with a smile-we will definitely be back.
This is a beautifully built and maintained mansion, with comfortable beds, delicious breakfast and, above all, a family-feel service. Gives you the perfect feeling of chania’s history and natural beauty. Refreshing pool in a beautiful garden. The staff are simply amazing, give great care and advice. Most highly recommended!
The staff were fantastic, it was in a beautiful location a short walk from the old town, the breakfast was delicious and made to order, the room was lovely and very spacious.
