I was a little disappointed in my stay at the Residence Inn. My family was all gathering in town in advance of the holidays and we all stayed there. The WiFi was near impossible to connect to -- when I finally got connected ONE time, it lasted all of two minutes. My main issue wasn't so we can watch content or anything, but literally the cell reception at the hotel was so awful that my family had a difficult time communicating plans via text, even room to room. We couldnt get messages out or find each other to make daily game plans. Suddenly you'd get a burst of texts as you left. It was generally pretty frustrating that as a Marriott member, I couldn't get a simple thing like WiFi to work. Additionally, we were really bummed the pool was out of commission. This was a big draw for us staying at hotels as a group, hoping the kids could have a good time together playing in the pool. There was no advance notice and a big disappointment for the families. Lastly, in reviewing my folio after departing, I noticed additional charges to my card for vending purchases we did not make. Not sure what's going on at that hotel. The room itself was fine -- nice to have a 1 bedroom and extra space for our kiddo to sleep. But the towels are terrible. They aren't soft AT ALL, but rather rough.
The suites are perfect for a girls weekend, and located so close to the shoppes. We have a great time here and the staff is always very accommodating! A kitchen with a full fridge, 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, plenty of room. Coffee and breakfast is always great too!
Friendly helpful staff
We were upgraded to a two bedroom suite. Yay! But - neither of these rooms were cleaned! Housekeeping did not come to our room AT ALL during our 2-night stay. Even after I visited the front desk in person to complain after the first night and was assured my room would be made up that day - it was NOT. When I returned to my room that afternoon and found the bed not made AGAIN, the towels on the floor AGAIN, the trash not emptied AGAIN - called the from desk* to complain AGAIN and was told the housekeeping staff were all gone for the day. The best he could offer was to have clean towels brought to our room. Gee, thanks.
*There were two phones in the room. One was completely inoperable. The one I used to call the front desk was so bad I could hardly hear the clerk. I know we don’t use hotel phones much anymore but, if you’re going to keep them in the rooms, they should at least be in working order.
Horrible experience for this Silver member.
The person at check in was very helpful and nice!
Great 2 bedroom 2 bath room. Breakfast was decent too!
Certainly NOT up to Marriott standards! Poor outside lighting, thread showing worn furniture, simply dated and tired...
Toilet was not clean inside there was mold where water comes out
Room size exceeded our expectations! Friendly staff
Beware!!! Don't assume if you have a reservation that you have a room when you arrive!!!!! We booked a room about a month ahead and upon arrival were told they had booked us about 15 minutes away at a lesser hotel because they could not accommodate us "due to extended stays" and overbooking, We chose this hotel because of its location so had to change our plans and with kids that isn't so easy. IF you are going to force someone to change hotels at least send guests to a hotel that is a step up not a step down, This isn't the first time I have had issues with Marriott properties. I have a Marriott Bonvoy Card so am very disappointed!
No down pillows please. My husband is allergic
The staff was super responsive in replacing them tho
I stayed in a 2BR room for 2 nights with my family. The bathrooms in both rooms weren't flushing. They kind of fixed 1 but not the other. We all had to share 1 toilet. The tubs weren't draining properly either. Not much breakfast options for what it's worth. Disappointing stay.
We loved the fact that they offer a 2 room 2 bath suite. So hard to find! breakfast was great and one night they even offered dinner. the lobby was always adorned with snacks and a drink for guests as well. the rooms were pretty sound proof so that was a plus.
The doors were difficult to open and close. one drawer didn’t close at all on the nightstand. also the air. my moms room barely got any air at all so it was a bit warm. our room got nice and cool but the ac unit made this very loud sound when it clicked on and off. woke me up multiple times. luckily my baby slept through it!
Good place to stay and great customer service.
Long term stay, I travel a lot for work
super comfortable room and bed

Family and kid friendly or quite and private are both available
Gino’s abeetz across the street makes a great Ct style pizza pie
Stay here and you’ll never want to stay anywhere else in town.
The price for the 2 bedroom suite was great, and the rooms were sizeable. Kids enjoyed the pool and the amenities. Continental breakfast was great.
I’ve been using Residents inn for years and recommending them to family and friends. Love the convenience of multi rooms for multi family members. Love the use of having a pool for my grandchildren. I was sooo disappointed by the condition of the room. The carpet in the dining area was shredding with a tear of 1.5” x 10”. Causing a possible fall risk. The sheets were grayish and worn. Outdated is one thing , needing repair is another. So disappointing when looking for the usual dependability I’ve come to expect and enjoy when traveling.
The ripped carpet in our room. The grayish worn sheets. The dirt old sofa and the one bedroom would not connect to the internet.
We brought our teen grandaughter with us so that she had privacy with a sleep sofa in another room. It was rather hot outdoors pretty early in the season. I noticed a few postings about the syestem AC and some rooms having window ACs. Our system had problems with the AC and fan and compressor going on and off withing a few seconds constantly. It was best for us to super cool the room and let it warm up so that this fan and compressor issue would happen less often.
My other complaint I blame corporate because that is the only answer that staff could offer was a "corporate change". There are no ice machines on the floor so that I could fill a small cooler daily when we left each day. I was told that I could make ice in the room freezer but that did not work. I was also told that I could grab some pre made bags in the freezer in the small food store. However, those bags were grabbed up very early in the morning. My alternative was to use the soup dishes in the kitchenette and freeze water in the bowls overnight. This is how we did it for the rest of our stay.
