Cons:

We had to switch rooms 3 times - One room were missing plugs on the wall and the other room stank of chemicals. So the third room was the one we ended up with staying in. One of the worst hotel experiences - Would never recomend

Pros:

Location was great, near the city center.

Cons:

I have not seen in my life beds as small as in Hotel Cabin. Very narrow (around 70 cm wide) and my arms and legs were hanging. Room was very very small and not very clean.

Affordable, Accessible, and Admirably Amiable.
Pros:

Reykjavik's cruel January weather is usually balanced by the warmth of the townsfolk. This year was different and even better: the skies were kind and the staff at the Hotel Cabin surpassed Iceland's already lofty standards for hospitality. These people will not merely order a cab for you. They will suggest a faster, cheaper bus route. You get the feeling that if the bus crashes they will mend it, and if the driver is dead, they will drive it. Superb front-of house service, truly outstanding. Excellent hairstyles. Better levels of English conversation than many parts of England. Immaculately clean rooms. Expect no chandeliers, gold-plated toilets nor bunches of roses: the breakfast is somewhat monastic but Cabin is at the most affordable end of the city's hotels - and all the better for it. Simple, but secure. Basic, but everything works. Staffed by Icelandic humans, not Teutonic robots. No hidden extra costs. The in-house bar is well stocked and unlike most hotels, the prices do not make you feel like a bone marrow donor. Every floor and facility is accessible to wheelchairs, disoriented British students, fat people, enormously fat people, and North Americans (excluding West Virginia). If the streets are not icy you can walk into town in half an hour or less. For idlers - or if you just enjoy talking to Polish people - there is a bus stop within shouting distance of the front door. I travel extensively and this hotel is a new favourite. I recommend it unreservedly.

As expected
Pros:

I needed a place to sleep with access to shower and wifi. My room was without view and that was reflected in the price. Good carpark.

Pros:

Þetta var bara það sem við þurftum þe. rúm til að sofa í , wc + sturta, gott að hafa það á herberginu í stað þess að fara fram einsog oft er á ódýrari gististöðum.

Cons:

Þetta hefði verið óþægilegt ef við hefðum þurft að dvelja á hótelinu þá hefðum við viljað hafa borð og stóla en þar sem við þurftum bara að gista þar þá var þetta fínt.

Uppfyllir allar mínar væntingar. Hagstætt verð.
Pros:

Verðið hagstætt, góð staðsetning, næg bílastæði. Móttaka opin allan sólarhringinn.

Cons:

Lítið og gluggalaust herbergi en það vissi ég fyrirfram enda var verðið hagstætt.
