Beautiful hotel, by the main square, atmospheric spa, lovely staff - a delightful place to stay
Pros:

This was my 4th stay here and I would choose it evert time. The location, so close to the Rynek Główny (main square), Planty Park and the railway station is excellent. All the staff are lovely (I remember Elżbieta from a visit 2 years ago and she is so helpful and kind) and the spa facilities and services very relaxing. The beds are very comfortable, bathroom floors are heated, there was a pianist playing a grand piano on each evening, and I feel very pampered staying here.

Cons:

The central location means that there are many revellers out late on a Friday and Saturday night and into the early hours, and in some rooms, even round the corner from the main road to the square, you can hear some noise at times. Ear plugs help sort it. Not a big enough problem to stop me staying here - just be prepared if this is an issue for you.

stilvolles, tolles Hotel, direkt am Hauptplatz, mittig in der Altstadt, alle tollen Sehenswürdigkeiten und Schauplätze fußläufig erreichbar! das Personal stets freundlich und äußerst zuvorkommend. Der Spabereich schafft es, auf eher wenig Platz tolle Atmosphäre zu bieten und zum Relaxen einzuladen. Abends eher überfüllt, vormittags quasi alles für einen allein. Der Fitnessbereich ist mit Laufbändern, Rad- und Stepermaschine gut ausgestattet, Gewichthanteln bis 10kg vorhanden. Frühstück top, frisch und seeehr lecker! Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt!

Superb place to stay for a city break
Pros:

Fantastic location in the heart of the old town.
Simple, understated rooms with very comfirtable beb. Large and luxurious bathroom
Very good breakfast; buffet with option to choose from hot menu also.
Friendly and helpful staff.
We made full use of the beautiful spa, winding down in the sauna and cold plunge pool after each day exploring.
We both had treatments which were thoroughlly enjoyed. We will definately stat again when we return to Krakow.

Cons:

There was nothing we didn't like.

Title: Disappointing service response despite attempts to resolve during stay

We recently stayed at Hotel Pod Róża and unfortunately the experience did not match expectations for a five-star property.

There were several issues during the stay, including inconsistent air conditioning, limited breakfast selection relative to the price, and conflicting information from staff regarding in-room television streaming services.

One morning I also requested assistance at breakfast due to a diabetic low blood sugar situation, and the response was inconsistent across different days.

To be fair, we raised these matters directly with the hotel during our stay and communication did take place. A breakfast refund was partially addressed depending on booking channel, and Expedia later provided a goodwill credit.

While some effort was made to respond, the overall experience and consistency of service did not fully reflect the level expected for the property rating.

Pros:

When we were checking in, the receptionist told us that this is the best hotel in Kraków — and she truly wasn’t exaggerating. From the very first moment, we felt that it was something special.
And please, don’t miss the spa. It is honestly one of the coziest and most unique spa experiences I’ve ever had. The ambiance is incredibly relaxing, intimate, and special — you can truly disconnect and fully unwind.
Highly recommended — I would happily come back again.

A secret well worth keeping to yourself

Cons:

Entrance lobby does not reflect the quality elsewhere in the hotel. Roses should be on display to match the name of the hotel. Only one additional pillow when two would be more appropriate.
