Loved our stay, Would definitely book again.
Pros:

Exceptional room with a view directly in front of The Astronomical Clock. Fantastic breakfast every morning also with views of The Clock. Location could not have been better in the heart of Old Town Square.

Cons:

Everything was wonderful except the room we were first put in was not what we expected. It had stairs to access and seemed like an attic room. We spoke to management and they put us in a different room with a lift and it was amazing. This is a wonderful hotel. 5 Star. Just be sure of the room you are getting.

Lovely city, lovely hotel but a few minor.....
Pros:

It is ideally situated right in the centre of the square in prague opposite the astronomical clock, The hotel is very quaint and periodic. Our room 204 was in the extension for the hotel and up many many stairs, (not for the faint hearted), we always made sure we took everything with us for the day. The room itself was more a suite, bed was big and comfy. The furniture was ok but I do agree with a previous comment made , it is very old and mismatched but adequate for our needs. The bed is very low to the ground. Unfortunately the room had a constant hum from the fans outside the room, there was no view and windows are frosted, so you do have privacy. However , there are no curtains up to block any light out and being a light sleeper my first night's sleep was very disturbed with the hum and then the early morning light.
The staff were very pleasant and friendly and as for the poor porter ( who looks a bit elderly)i really do pity him , lugging all the luggage up those stairs....I tipped him big to say thankyou 😉,.
We didn't book any trips with the hotel we purely walked everywhere , map and Google in hand. We made our own purchase for the river cruise which was really relaxing , and recommended. There were lots of sights to see which we covered in the 3 nights of our stay....apart from the noise problem we loved the hotel and prague as a city break 😀

Lovely period hotel
Pros:

The grand hotel Praha is right on old town square. We didn’t book clock view so our rooms were in a sister building just a few building away. We did pay for upgraded rooms though love holidays and communicating this was difficult but we did end up with lovely historic rooms as expected (the issues were nothing to do with the hotel but love holidays)
The rooms are clean and full of period details, one of the fridges didn’t work but no big issue. Reception, restaurant and cleaning staff were exceptional. The atmosphere of town square is fantastic. Lovely hotel and would go back, breakfast was great with amazing views of the clock and lovely coffee, we were given a complimentary cake one morning which was a fabulous touch.

L’emplacement extraordinaire face a l’horloge astronomique et au centre de la vieille ville.
Le petit déjeuner pris au café Mozart est complet et varié.
Le bagagiste (très grand) qui nous a accompagné jusqu’à notre taxi, est particulièrement serviable.

Cons:

On aurait apprécié avoir un peu plus d’informations utiles de la part du personnel d’accueil.

Old Town Square.
Pros:

Excellent hotel right on the old town square.
The facilities were excellent, breakfast each morning was delicious and varied a little each day and the staff very helpful. Our room looked right out to the Astronomical Clock.

Cons:

Nothing. Some might find the stairs to rooms in the older side a bit of a challenge with no lift.

Pros:

the location was excellent, rooms were fine, breakfast had a good choice

Cons:

we were not located in the hotel, but a separate block further down the street, within this block we were at the back of the building which felt very isolated, you had to come out of the building, walk along the street and go back into the Hotel for breakfast, this wasn't made clear at booking
