Tholos Resort

It’s an amazing one time life experience for everyone if you can afford. The resort and the facilities were excellent except you have to climb all the steep stairs to get into the road access. Less luggage will be better here. We had 3 baggage and were offered help to pick up them upon check in and check out. Check-in went smooth but nobody was seen for our early check out, my husband had to carry them all up in the hill. Our returning ferry was at 6.45 and had to leave at 5 am but there wasn’t anyone at reception and we couldn’t get hold of anybody. They dropped off bagged breakfast for us the previous nice which was real appreciated. The sunset view from here is spectacular and you won’t forget forever.

I am so glad that I found Tholos Resort! There are so many options in Santorini, but Tholos was the best of everything. We had a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The location is fantastic...I much prefer Imerovigli to Oia for quietness and central location. And the view...wow!

Breakfast was included in our rate, which was always a nice spread. The staff is super nice and friendly, one of the hosts helped us coordinate a car rental.

Our nice superior suite with outdoor jacuzzi faced Skaros Rock and had an amazing view of the caldera. Sunsets every night were fantastic.

Stop by the mini market and souvenir shop (Antonia Mini Market next to Dear Elie restaurant) and stock up on water, beer, wine, and snacks during your stay. We always enjoyed a bottle of wine in the jacuzzi, which was a nice (and hot) way to end the evening.

I highly recommend Tholos Resort and would definitely go back! If you stay here, I recommend rental a car to explore different parts of Santorini because it's not just Oia and Fira. There are public and street parking around the area within a short walk.

The view of the Caldera from the hotel was AMAZING! The staff was awesome Victor, Progamos and everyone was pretty awesome.

Stayed here last May and couldn’t recommend it enough.
Imerovigli is very quiet town but yet close to Oia and Fira.
Breakfast was fabulous and service even better. Staff was extremely friendly.
Great dining options near by.
Food and cocktails from the bar were absolutely delish.
Room was great size and spacious. View was incredible as well.

We had a great stay in Tholos. We are a family of 3 with an 8 year old. We stayed in the Superior Suite. The space was perfect for the 3 of us. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. It was lovely to wake up to the beautiful view of the caldera every day. Tholos is located along the cliffs so it is not near a beach. You have to trek up the stairs to get to the town. Maybe equivalent to 6-7 flights of stairs? If you don't like stairs, this is not the place for you. Our 8 year old made it every day just fine though. There is a little hotel pool to cool off during the summer months. They served us breakfast in our room every day. We would eat it on the balcony looking out to the caldera every day. We even ordered dinner from the hotel restaurant one night so we can enjoy the sunset. Can you tell we really liked the view? When we did venture out, there are many restaurants and stores within 5-15 minutes walking distance from the hotel. My only suggestion is that they make a sign at the bottom of the stairs to direct visitors to reception. There are clusters of hotels along the cliffs and very clear signs would help. (Note, turn left when you hit the end of the first set of stairs.) Hotel staff was helpful and courteous.

Amazing view! The hotel is very relaxing because it’s pretty quiet. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have young children or you can’t handle stairs because there are a lot of them and they’re pretty narrow.
Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. I would say the bathroom would need a bit more storage because there is no paper holder for the toilet so you have to leave it on the trashcan lid. Only one hook for the towels and it’s pretty small. Don’t expect to leave your toiletry bag by the sink because it’s small too. Same for the rest of the room. Only one space to hang a few clothes by the kitchen but once you open you suitcase on the floor by the bed you don’t have much room to walk around. Having an inside pool was really nice and you have an amazing view of the bay from the windows. You order breakfast the day before via a form online. We only got about 85% of what we ordered every time. I don’t know if they were out of just didn’t read the form properly. I would recommend the hot breakfast items, they were pretty good. Staff is extremely nice and porters will help you get your luggages to and out of your room don’t worry. Overall it was a great first experience in Santorini. The room was like the island, small but charming. You just have to stay organize. We tried to go to the main hotel pool but it was full. Since the hotel is built into the cliff there isn’t much room anywhere so just keep that in mind.

As someone who travels more than half the year, it was an incredible experience rarely does a property exceeded my expectations and this one did the views the staff the hospitality. If there was one negative and there always is it’s the amount of stairs, but that is Europe, and that is the hillside and the beauty of Santorini thank u to great hosts

Disadvantages:

The room we booked had a hot tub "inside" that was technically separated by glass doors. While it made for beautiful photos, the smell of chlorine permeated the room, causing major discomfort. This led to severe headaches and trouble sleeping.
When we inquired about changing rooms due to the smell, the hotel offered us another room for $70 per night.
To boot, the hot tub in our room was freezing upon our return at 5 PM. Restoring the temperature required calling the maintenance person who had already left for the other side of the island. We waited for nearly an hour for them to arrive and the hot tub never heated up. Even the next morning it was as cold as a cold pool. The staff at the front desk blamed us for not requesting the hot tub to be warm. Unfortunately a terrible way to end our honeymoon, I would not recommend staying here.

The staff at Tholos was incredible! They were so accommodating and positive! The views are unbelievable and the rooms are amazing! We had such an amazing honeymoon at this resort!!!

Very nice hotel with beautiful views. We had 2 bedroom Villa with hot tub, nice size rooms great staff and quieter than Oai, which we liked! I think Tholos has the best views and it’s not obstructed by people walking past your room. It’s very close to skaros rock so more hiking if you like! We were there end of April so would have liked hot tub temperatures little more warmer but we still enjoyed it! Aana was wonderful and helped us with everything we needed!

The staff was extremely friendly, professional, and accomodating. They truly took an interest in your experience and your needs.

Our stay at Tholos resort was amazing! End of October weather was excellent and the staff, meals and facilities were perfect. We would return in a heartbeat.
