We very much enjoyed our stay in the Art Deco Imperial hotel and would highly recommend it for a comfortable base and location when visiting Prague. It's only a 10 minute walk to Old Town Square and all the main attractions.
Our bedroom was very comfortable with a lovely bathroom, great shower and luxurious rituals products. However the air conditioning didn't appear to cool the room much and we were surprised there was a charge for the bottled water which would normally be complimentary in any hotel.
The breakfast room was stunning and we enjoyed our leisurely breakfast each morning with a lovely array of food to suit all palates. The omelettes were delicious and the staff were all very pleasant, in particular the lady who appeared to be the supervisor. Sadly the receptionist who checked us in on arrival was not as pleasant. No greeting or smile when I approached the desk. I gave my name and his first words were 'can I see your passport?'. I felt like an imposter! He gave me the keycard and told me the breakfast times. It was all very business like. He was quite young so maybe he just needs a little more training in customer service, at least to welcome the guests and wish them a pleasant stay. The receptionist who checked us out was very pleasant and wished us a safe journey home. It's the little friendly touches that make a difference.
However, we really loved our stay here and hope to return very soon again to stay in your beautiful hotel and stunning city.
Such a beautiful hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s about 12-14 min walk to the old square. Rooms are a lovely size with kettle, tea and coffee making facilities. Even the doors into the bedrooms are unique. The bed was a lovely size and very comfortable. There are rituals toiletries in the bathrooms which is a lovely touch. Our room had a shower bath which was fine for us, there is a wall bar you can use to help you get in and out but it wouldn’t suit those with mobility issues as the bath is high.
We dealt with staff at reception and the concierge and all were lovely and very helpful. The bar in the hotel is small but we loved its size made it cosy and the ceiling is beautifully decorated. The bar tender was brilliant and made fantastic mojitos none of those pre-made cocktails you get in some places. He took his time to make all drinks and it showed in the taste, quality and presentation. It is a lovely bar to come back to after a long day of walking and touring.
The cafe where breakfast/lunch/dinner is served is beautiful, the pillars, walls and ceiling are stunning. We had breakfast every morning we were there, food is lovely and staff attentive. We had a slight issue with where the buffet is located, it surrounds the door the public (non hotel guests) use and often are standing waiting to be seated while you are trying to get your food it made the buffet area small and awkward for hotel guests. Also for cappuccinos, lattes guests were told to use the coffee machine at the buffet ( cups for cappuccinos are very small) but yet non hotel guests had their coffees made at the bar and they did look bigger. Guests should be given the same options as non hotel guests as they have paid for the breakfast aswell and should be entitled to the same experience.
That is our only issue with the hotel, we would still recommend the hotel and will return again.
Frühstück ist top in einem aussergewöhnlichen Raum.
Had wonderful stay at the Art Deco Imperial this week. It didn't get off to a good start as a result of the frosty reception I received on arrival. The gentleman checking me in rudely asked for my passport immediately. There was no " welcome to the hotel ", " is it your first time in Prague? " " How was your journey? " He showed no emotional intelligence whatsoever. Thankfully it got better.
I was very impressed with my room. It was quiet, spacious and pristine. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were good. The air conditioning wasn't very effective and was hard to regulate. The bottled water should be complimentary. Most five star hotels don't charge for this.
The breakfast buffet was excellent, with plenty of choice and was frequently replenished. All the staff were lovely but special mention must go to the charming supervisor Dagmar for her friendly greeting each morning.
The hotel overall was well appointed and spotlessly clean. The sofas on the bedroom landings looked a little tired. I am already looking forward to another visit and hope to experience dinner in the Cafe the next time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Art Deco gem of a hotel to anyone. It ticks almost all of the boxes! Many thanks for a memorable stay - Martin Fitzpatrick
Jde o princip. To by chtělo změnit .
Erg vriendelijk en efficient personeel.
Mooi decor. Goed restaurant.
Comfortabel bed
Perfecte ligging in het centrum.
Weinig uitzicht uit de kamer.
Welness klein.
Raňajky :) Večera :) Slimáky a jeleň WOW :)
Nič :)
Friends booked this hotel and we went along and were pleasantly surprised. This is a first rate hotel and checks all the boxes: very good location close enough to the central square , the old world art deco atmosphere, our spacious 5th floor room, the cleanliness, the lack of noise, the excellent service, the wonderful breakfast in the picture-perfect breakfast room.
What a wonderful hotel, from the moment you walk in it is like being transported back to the 1920s but with a modern feel.
The hotel is well appointed and spotlessly clean. We we staying on a room only basis but we decided to eat breakfast on a couple of mornings and the quality and service like the rest on the hotel was outstanding. It's central location near a tram stop was ideal .
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel if planning a visit to Prague
This hotel feels like stepping into an old world European hotel of movies. The Art Deco style restaurant to have breakfast in daily was a highlight - people queue here at other times of the day. Even their coffee is good. The rooms are not big, but quite comfortable and relaxing.
Veľmi dobrý hotel. Od rezervácie až po odchod z hotela…niet čo vytknúť. Každý zamestnanec v hoteli si zaslúži poďakovanie. 🙂🙂
