Die Lage ist der Hammer, direkt am Rande der Fußgängerzone, gegenüber der großen Hallgrimskirche (nachts bimmelt sie nicht und morgens erst ab 10 Uhr:-)). Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Frühstück überschaubar. Das Zimmer war sehr klein, gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Bad war superklein, geht für 1 Nacht.

Consider another hotel....
Pros:

Ok hotel located in the middle of downtown Reykjavik. Service is also ok. Breakfast is not exciting, as there is no warm food - i.e. eggs are cooked and served cold.
My main concern with this hotel, is that they ask for your credit card when you arrive. They do NOT use a payment terminal, as they used to before. They have taken a step back in time and now needs to see your card, including the CVC code, which leaves you open for fraud. They are allowed to do it this way, but if you (as me) have experienced fraud before, I would strongly suggest to use another hotel. I have used Leifur for many years visiting Reykjavik, but for my next trip I will choose another hotel because of this.

Qualcosa da migliorare ma consigliato!
Pros:

posizione centralissima,esattamente di fronte alla chiesa.
Comodo anche se dovete parcheggiare la macchina,pagando su strada tariffe non proibitive (consiglio zona 3).

c’era puzza di fogna in bagno purtroppo.

Kiváló, segítő személyzet, központi elhelyezkedés.kitűnő reggeli.

Cons:

Nincs lift, nagyon kicsi fürdőszoba, szűk hely, semmi felszerelés, csak egy folyékony szappan a fürdőszobában.

It is located near restaurant and a short 20 min walk to the harbor. My single room was perfect for a solo traveler and my rate included daily breakfast. The staff was outstanding and helped with reservation changes and recommendations. They were so friendly and helpful.

Cons:

It was a little warm for me but otherwise it was basic and all I could want.

Vom Hotel aus ist alles fussläufig zu erreichen, in der Umgebung finden sich zahlreiche Geschäfte und Restaurants/Cafés. Die Zimmer sind eher klein, aber sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Personal war sehr nett und immer hilfsbereit. Beim Frühstück hat man eine große Auswahl. Für Island insgesamt ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!

Cons:

Huoneen wc oli todella pieni. Suihku oli suoraan lavuaarin edessä joten suihkun jälkeen koko wc oli ihan märkä. Huoneessa ei ollut kokovartalopeiliä vaan pieni peili seinässä johon lyhyempi ihminen joutui varvistaa nähdäkseen jotain :) pieniä ongelmia mutta joissain tilanteissa ärsyttäviä.

Stop over yölle sopiva
Pros:

Kirkkonäkymä , aamuainen oli ajateltu hyvin, ei mitään turhaa ja kivasti esillä otettavina annoksina.

Cons:

Pimeä pieni huone, kylpyhuone pimeä ja porras ylempänä. Talossa ei hissiä mutta oli kyllä tiedossa. Ei pysäköintiä, kirkon paikoitus maksullinen ja aika täynnä.

Great overnight stay
Pros:

The location is ideal - across the street from Hallgrimskirkja Church and Bus stop #8 where we met our tour. Also easy walking to shops and restaurants in Reykjavík. We reserved an economy room so it was quite small and basic, while being clean, comfortable and efficient. The daily breakfast buffet was excellent with delicious fresh food and there was coffee etc available at all times. The reception desk was staffed 24/7 with helpful individuals who responded quickly to any questions both prior to and during my stay.
