The Hotel is not in great condition , The breakfast was not upto the mark , the chef didn't know anything besides chinese or what we wanted. Rooms were very average and could be cleaner and more Luxurious for Decent stays .
I just felt they could better and specially taking into consideration I went for the fair when hotels do maximum business . The Passage had towels laid out and rooms were just ordinary.
The Staff was nice and their service was decent , They could improvise in rooms as well as their breakfast lay which could include a lot more .
The Highlight is the Luckin Coffee Place on the ground floor which people can't see also and I feel they should advertise it more and tourist love a good coffee at all times .
But over all experience plain average , won't stay again here , would look for other options.
It is a nice resort in Guangzhou, 12 RMB taxi can bring you to town Centre or20 minutes walk also do. It has Gym. swimming Pool. kTV and massage and a business helpful Centre. I like especially the hospitality here, Mr Ho 何經理 is of the helpful guy. Here has a nice Chinese and a nice western restaurant providing various of food serving hot. I stayed here for almost two months because of business trip. It makes me feeling like home. I would give it 5 stars to be fair.

商務中心.KTV.massage. 亦有中及西餐廳提供多元化食物.熱食亦美味.公平一點.我會給它五星

The Hotel is in a very good location very quite, bit this is the only positive aspect,
the check-in and check-out is very long. The room was small and fully bad. the carpet was dirty and partaily cracked all the furniture old and also in this case partially broken the bath room has a bad small of cesspool. The restaurant in the hotel is really horrible.
The air condition was making noise and the problem was not solved as the technician could not understand. There is a floor inside a floor with a small stair-case. Funny part is the bathroom seems half the size of the room. Only good thing is that they offer unlimited complimentary water, soft-drinks etc on the reception. Its in the city centre with many good restaurants nearby. Beijing lu, the night street shopping costs 15 rmb.
I had plan to stay in Shenzhen but at last moment I decided to stay here due to late arrival. One of taxi driver recommended me this hotel. It is a very basic and average hotel. I had to wait for almost 30 minutes because one leg of bed was faulty. It was under repair before my arrival but they booked with all known facts. Many good hotels are available around 350 rmb in city.
At one point I'm sure this was the spot for travelers but the property shows signs of age, the breakfast buffet was subpar (cold food with open door to cold environs) and the room was stripped bare. Cable TV was asking for a subscription renewal, mini-bar was gone (even though the menu was still there), bed was truly as hard as a rock. Of a 15 city business trip over 2 weeks this was the worst spot of all. The real "kicker" was the open patio Karaoke that was blasting through the property until 1:30am. Staff was friendly but no-one spoke English.
I attended a conference at this hotel, and even though I did not stay there (thank goodness), I would not recommend that anyone does. My international friends/colleagues who did stay there had nothing but complaints about the hotel, ranging from the bad food, dirty and sometimes unhygienic and broken down rooms. One had a room that had mould on that walls. I ate at the Western restaurant there once and was appalled at the services and food quality. There was only one staff (a young man from the concierge) who I felt delivered helpful and friendly service. I wish I had remembered his name. Otherwise, the other staff were not very helpful at all.
We stayed at this hotel as it was attached to a conference centre where my other half was presenting. Don't get me wrong, the room we stayed in(which we upgraded to) was pretty good but overall the place has a tired, worn out feel to it. The staff spoke very little English and requests for service or directions were a challenge. The 'buffet breakfast' was at best average and very limited. The 'best' hot breakfast was a greasy omelette which I had several of, in lieu of other palatable breakfast offerings. The location is a long way from the city and the most effective way to get there was by cab which were hard to get. You couldn't walk it at all. We attempted a cab, train experience which was ok but again, Gaungzhou locals had very little command of English, although they tried very hard to assist us. You also need to buy a local simcard if you wish to access wifi in your room. Some sort of government edict to monitor internet traffic. You also cant get google or facebook or many other social media sites as they are blocked in China. We downloaded ExpressVPN to overcome this. The main restaurant (not breakfast) was pretty good but again hard to get what you wanted across to staff. There was pool which was ok but very open. It was below the lobby and very exposed. I was also put off by the hoiking that I witnessed on several occasions. The gym was also extremely small and every piece of equipment was broken. it was also very steamy ! I was able to find a local 7-eleven type store in walking distance to buy snacks, fruit and beer. There was not much in the way of wine but hey, beer was enough. I had the misfortune of not bringing my lonely planet guide so it was hard doing any tours. Had no luck getting any tour advice from the reception staff either. We wouldn't stay there again but it did give us an insight into what a run down hotel in the suburbs looks like. If you have to stay make it brief.
The location is near the subway station. That is the only advantage of this hotel. I attended a conference hosted in the hotel. So, I stayed in this hotel for the whole conference period.
The food of this hotel was horrible. The breakfast had very limited choice, and I could see flies around the food. They closed the restaurant for a ceremony during my stay. I couldn't have anything for dinner in the hotel.
The service of this hotel was also bad. The staffs entered my room although "DO NOT DISTURB" sign was ON. I would not go to this hotel again for sure.
I stayed here for a conference on site and was disappointed, though not as much as some of my colleagues. On arrival I was given a very small, grubby room which was really quite shabby. The fridge was full of water and the light switches did not work. The next day I requested a move and, for the same price, was given a pleasant room, double the size, with a balcony and good sized bathroom. I think I was very fortunate as many others had rooms which were mouldy, smelly and depressing. It would be great to see this hotel given a very thorough cleaning and restoration. I don't know if the hotel was responsible for providing the catering at the conference but fear it may have been as it often looked like a stir fried mixture of the food left at breakfast time. Some of the staff were delightful and helpful, but there were some who were amazingly rude. Wifi was sporadic; location is well outside city centre.
An international conference was held here so everyone thought it best to stay here too.
Little did we know it's a 30 scary taxi ride out of the city centre.
The rooms are extremely basic, dirty, mouldy, smelly, and the beds are extremely hard. The fridge didn't work, the bathroom window was cracked and replaced with a sheet of plastic, and as for wifi ... think again! Very difficult to access the net here.
The breakfast was dreadful with extremely bad service if you ask for a decent coffee.
As this is somewhere to hold large conferences, you'd think it would be a good idea to have more than about 4 people who only speak very broken English. The language barrier was terrible.
Verdict - pay for something else and get nearer to the city. If you stay here you'll really regret it.
This hotel was chosen for the location close to a business meeting. I suspect once upon a time it was a very grand resort hotel. The pool would have been stunning in its day as it is the size of a lake and actually runs under reception.
The gated golf community it was in was also nice. But apart from the setting everything was a littel jaded 8-(
It was a location that had seen better days. The bar to get a beer was impersonal and closed early leaving only the Karaoke nightclub as a chance to get a nightcap and that was a crazy US$13 a bottle - rip off not even served in a glass.
Breakfast was served in a small area that was a walk around the gigantic pool in the open (not a great option in the monsoon season) and the food was OK but there were not enough seats for guests meaning that table sharing was common.
This was a location that could have been good, indeed for an extended stay perhaps with family accompanying you on a business trip this could be the perfect venue - but it needs refurbishment fast and the addition of a friendly bar area for a coffee or beer.
Location was the main thing that i liked about this hotel.10 mntz walk away from garden hotel and metro.
Near to turkish restaurans.
all in all price is not high for who is looking a cheapest hotel, but it do not offer an enough confort .
The hotel consists of two parts, the west wing and the main building. the main building rooms are FAR superior to the others so insist to stay in a rennovated room in the main building. If you are lucky enough to get a deluxe room overlooking the HUGE swimming pool, these are actually really nice rooms. ( sorry... 45 Chinese TV channels and not one in English ) Most of the staff speak very little English so be prepared. the beds are ROCK HARD in all the rooms. The hotel claims a western restaurant. Please dont be fooled. Its not. You have to pay and get a voucher for breakfast before dining . Secret ! they have a proper espresso machine behind the counter. you have to insist that you want it and that you are willing to pay ( 38 rmb) if you really want a reasonable coffe in the morning. Be aware that you are far from everything. taxi ride to city centre approx 40 rmb and depending on the traffic 30-35 mins.
We rented the apartment expecting to have some commodity since we were travelling with kids. The apartment has a kitchen but no utensils at all. No even glasses or plates. So if you are expecting to use a minimal functionality forget about it.
The air con is fixed to 26 degrees Celsius. I is impossible to lower the temperature, so when it is sunny the temperature at the apartment is high and not very pleasant.
I will not be staying again. I think it needs to improve.
Had some business meeting in Guangzhou, baiyun area for one day. Was told to stay at this hotel since it is a 5 star hotel close to where the meeting was held as other international hotels were located very far in other districts. The setting of the hotel is mainly oriented towards the local taste. It is a resort like with a huge swimming pool. However, somehow i was depressed staying there. TV in the room reminded me of the TV at my grandparents house, a 20yr old set. Bed had a piece of wood and a very thin layer matress on it, not at all good for having a comfortable sleep. The layout is a bit tired and old. Don't know how to express myself with this one, but having stayed in the best hotels, this one doesn't match my taste at all. Don't get me wrong here, it's not that there is dog poo on the floors, or a stinky smell anywhere, it is just the feel, doesn't offer anything for my taste.
There are 2 Yihe Hotels in Guangzhou, this review is for the Summer Palace in Baiyun District.
I have stayed in the Yihe hotel a number of times over the past 2 years on business. It is about 30 mins from the train station, quite far out of central Guangzhou, so you will need to take a taxi everywhere you go. Some mornings I would wait 30 minutes for a taxi in the lobby, the bell boys run down to the street to get you one. Then it is 20 mins (approx 50RMB) to the centre.
The grounds are gorgeous. There is a huge outdoor swimming pool which is shared with all the apartments, but is quiet on a morning for a swim. When you book ask for a room facing the back and you have a great view of this. After a day working in Guangzhou it is very relaxing.
The staff are friendly and speak basic English. This means they often get your room service order wrong, and if something breaks are not much help.
The rooms are spacious, the beds hard but comfy. Showers are rubbish and baths are small but useable. Rooms are quite dark so difficult to do too much work, the rooms have internet access but you need to pay about 30 RMB a day.
The western restaurant serves edible food. Its not what you would expect in a 5 star hotel, but to grab something quickly it is fine. The breakfast is very chinese but do have eggs and toast.
If you want to relax and explore the Baiyun Mountain this hotel would be perfect. For business I would recommend staying somewhere else.
I keep going back to this hotel as it is great value for money
Check in took about 20 minuets as they could'nt find the booking. Rooms were basic and trying to figure out the waste plugs in sinks and bath needed a degree in plumbing.
Mini Bar was never stocked in the five days of stay. No Bar but could get a drink in lobby, with no atmosphere. Night Club ok for the welloff. Probably where it got itys name from The Weathy Mans Club, think it was a glorified knocking shop. Location in the middle of no-where. Restraunts basic. Tried the Chinese but looking at the menu walked straight out. Very little English spoken by staff and when you consider the size of the Conferance facility not very good. Not a place to stay for enjoyment.
I booked for King size bed, but when I checked in they upgraded me to 1 bedroom apartment. Nice, clean & excellent service. Close to all Indian & Arabic restaurants. Shopping street Beijing lu is only 10 minutes away.
Nasty place, you will be charged for every little extra, beds are like sleeping on stone, they charged me 550y for 10 beers and a pack of smokes, it's run down and there is a knocking shop club in hotel. overpriced
