Cons:

Bathroom had black mold, there were exposed electrical wires in the kitchen. Rain flooded under door seal, Floor in the kitchen and bathroom was filthy. We had talked to the Manager on duty about a refund of the 2nd night stay. Due to health issues, I can't be around black mold, the manager on duty indicated he would follow up. After 3 messages to the property with no response, this is juat another example of significant problems with the resort.

Everyone - if you are traveling to Maui, do not waste your time with this property

Cons:

So, the room had an open ceiling facing the sky, which resulted in the light waking us up really early. Also, the bathroom was smelling piss. Overall, I would not suggest it.

Cons:

The upstairs people got home after 12:30 pm and were up at 5:30 am. Extremely noisy. Sounded like maintenance was in there doing work but the front said that was not the case. Very "bare bones" junior suite. There was one desk chair and one other uncomfortable chair in the room. Bed was very soft which I realize a lot of people like but we do not. TV and the remote was not user friendly and we finally gave up on watching anything. The good part is that we were there for only one night since we needed to be closer to the airport for our last night.

We appreciated out time at the Kohea Kai, especially the renivated room.
Pros:

Ee liked the room and the location. Was perfect.

Cons:

Little things were missing. Bottle of water in fridge. Pool area needs a little love.

Friendly, clean, and the beach is across the street ;)
Pros:

We were warmly welcomed by the staff, and even though it was a short stay, we were able to ask anything we wanted. The room had everything we needed. It was also super clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is directly opposite a beach. So every morning we treated ourselves to coffee right there, and you can borrow chairs, parasols, and beach towels. In addition, the office area at the back serves delicious Kona filter coffee with macadamia flavor. Very attentive staff, all in all very nice. We can recommend it.

All you need to have a good Maui experience
Pros:

We got in pretty late after a long flight. The night attendant Tevita gave us a good aloha and made us feel at home right away. Our room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed to have a good first night and first Maui experience. 10/10 would recommend!
