Excellent location, superb breakfast.
Pros:

Excellent location in centre, with city bus hub around the corner. Breakfast was superb with lots of choices, including local cheeses and cold cuts. The room was clean, bathroom very roomy, well lit.

Cons:

Dogs should not be allowed in breakfast/dining room, not only for hygienic reasons. A big one almost swiped off my plate when it passed, wagging its tail. The room had an awkwardly placed TV console atop the bed's footboard, creating a visual barrier that made the room appear smaller than it was.

Der Aufenhalt an sich war angenehm wie immer

Die Unterkunft ist sauber, zweckmäßig, und ideal! Zimmerpreise durchaus moderat.

Cons:

Wir fragten nach einem früheren Check-in, es ging um ca. 1 1/2 Stunden. Man sagte uns, dass man diesbezüglich Rücksprache mit der Chefin halten müsse, uns umgehend Bescheid geben würde. Nach einer Stunde Funkstille haben wir schließlich wieder im Sandwirth angerufen und erfahren, dass man für die 90 Min. „Early-Check-in“ 60€ (!!!) verlangen würde. Na bum! Wir hielten das dann doch für eine ziemlich aggressive Forderung, und haben auf den früheren Check-in verzichtet. Ärgerlich deshalb, weil wir einen Tag zuvor noch eine 5 Sterne Bewertung für das Haus, in dem wir schon öfter (zufriedene) Gäste waren, abgegeben haben. In der Regel verlangen gute Hotels -weltweit- bei einem Early-Check-in zwischen 15-30€ bzw. $, oder aus Kulanz gar nichts! Es ist natürlich Hausrecht und eine legitime Forderung, diese 60€ zu verlangen, aber doch hat es einen gewissen bitteren Beigeschmack …

Absolute Empfehlung in Klagenfurt
Pros:

Zweifellos das beste Hotel in der Klagenfurter Innenstadt, sehr freundliches und bemühtes Personal, zentrale und verkehrsgünstig gut angebundene Lage mitten in der Klagenfurter Innenstadt, Nespresso-Maschine im Zimmer, ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, hervorragendes Restaurant.
