The Dominican

Great central location in the old town. The twin room was a good size and the bathroom had a nice large bath. The bed was clean and comfortable. We did unfortunately find that the room had not been properly cleaned before we arrived. The phone didn’t work when we arrived, we had a query and attempted to call reception and it was completely dead. We were told it would be fixed and it didn’t happen. Our fridge had the previous holiday makers gone off food left in it. We found a used ear bud under one of the bedside tables. Staff didn’t seem too bothered by our complaints, we were offered some budget alcohol and leftovers from breakfast buffet as a consolation. Overall we felt cleanliness was not up to the mark for the amount we paid for the stay.

Our room was not serviced in 4 days. It seems the hotel was short-staffed. Nevertheless, we managed to obtain clean towels from reception, and it didn't matter that the room was never serviced, as we only slept in it. Although not what you'd expect of a 4-star hotel. Plates at breakfast were produced still soaking from the dishwasher, cutlery was often not put out. It also seemed that we had the 'Booking.com '/'booked via a third party' room - last to sell, on the ground floor, and lacking the intimate charm of the rooms shown on the website. Nevertheless adequate.

Der Service war……. nicht überragend

Accueil invraisemblable : la personne ne sourit pas, semble ailleurs, nous tend son ordinateur pour que nous inscrivions nos noms, adresses, etc., puis disparaît longtemps, deux couples attendent derrière nous. Très bizarre. Puis dans la chambre : pas de capsules de café, pas de tasses, le papier toilette en très petite quantité, nous avons dû attendre 22h pour voir apparaître quelqu’un qui a fourni un énorme rouleau de vilain papier gris ressemblant à un essuie-tout, le coffre était bloqué, «  débloqué «  3 fois mais se débloquant immédiatement, inutilisable, plus de savon dans la salle de bains le lendemain de notre arrivée - le soir on a eu deux flacons neufs mais posés sur le plan de toilette, pas remis en place., dans les parties communes, à notre arrivée ( 17h) des tas de linge par terre, le lendemain matin aussi. La salle de petit dejeuner est sinistre, le café très mauvais, le chocolat chaud atroce: le lait coule bien, puis c’est de l’eau grisâtre qui coule, donnant un breuvage imbuvable . Le ménage de ´notre chambre n’a pas été fait le lendemain de notre arrivée. Nous l’avons signalé, quelqu’un est venu le surlendemain faire du ménage vite fait! Visiblement il y a un gros problème de personnel dans cet hôtel .on nous a dit que la femme de ménage s’était cassé la jambe.

Falsches Zimmer bekommen als gebucht. Zimmer wurden nicht gemacht, Seife war schon leer bei der Ankunft und wurde nie aufgefüllt. Keine neuen Badetücher nur bei nachfragen. Frühstück war schlecht. Personal sehr unfreundlich und nicht kooperativ, englisch bringt einem hier nicht weit.

部屋の照明が少し暗いかと思いました。また、私は遅い時間に寝るので気になりませんでしたが、早く寝たい人は外の騒音が気になるかも知れません

The room we were given wasn’t for tall people!

Il ristorante asiatico occupa quasi tutta la lobby e l’odore di cucina é persistente per tutto il giorno. Inoltre la lobby é piccola e non in linea con le 4 stelle del rating

Lack of human contact, any call to the hotel goes through AI. Booking in was not great as we used AI and had to wait a while for someone to appear. Had to use AI again to get help with the safe, after a long wait we went off to find the staff.
The only toiletries in the room was hand wash / shower gel. Need to improve this to meet the standard expectation

The air con was struggling, it was so hot, may have just been me being of an age. Ur I needed it colder

Towels were not good quality and there were no washcloths. Toiletries were below average. Pillows and bedding need updating.
