The hotel is in desperate need of renovations. The rooms smell of damp/drains and I had ants in the bathroom. The buffet dinner was bad and the breakfast awful. Lots of stairs everywhere, and no elevators, which could be a problem for some people. This could be a nice hotel, if properly looked after, but as it is i would not go back
Was sent here by the hotel we were already staying at (which due to having several building works going on around it, through no fault of their own i add, with pneumatic drills was not the most relaxing place) just wanted to switch off, have a bit of piece and quiet and relax by a pool.
Unfortunately the experience at the Burcu Kaya hotel stressed me out further. On arrival I asked the reception staff if myself and husband could stay at the poolside to relax. I explained the situation in our current hotel and just needed some space. Obviously we were prepared to either pay to use the facilities and most definitely would have had drinks/lunch there.
Very hostile and rude, just said 'no' only for hotel guests. I did say I was quite surprised to hear this as most hotels I know (30 years of travelling to Turkey in various locations) were always happy to offer this facility especially when it's low season and hotel capacity is low. Was met with the usual shrug of shoulders and repetitive response . All I can say is thank God I wasn't staying there and if you are considering it... don't bother!
Unfortunately, this has been one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had during a hotel stay.
To summarize the issues:
1. **Staff behavior**: The restaurant staff has been extremely rude. When I simply asked for milk for my tea, I was met with hostility, which was both shocking and upsetting.
2. **Food quality**: After serving approximately 300 people, the food quality deteriorates to the point of being inedible. Food very substandard. We would call it the “Pig Slop Stalag 13 Mess Hall” It’s disheartening, and we've had no other dining options nearby.
3. **Breakfast**: Even a simple request for toast with honey, jam, and butter was denied. It feels like basic services and common courtesies are not being met.
4. Rooms were not cleaned properly, long hairs found in bathroom, spiderwebs near bedside table, towels were threadbare, bathroom vanity had a pile of old builders rubble under the sink ( obviously no-one checks under there)
Additionally, the hotel’s remote location leaves us isolated from other restaurants or amenities. We are unable to walk anywhere, which only adds to our frustration.
This experience has genuinely ruined our holiday, and I wanted to bring these issues to your attention in the hope of addressing them for the well-being of current and
future guests. We would recommend staying somewhere more central like Goreme (very nice town with lots happening)
Hotel infrastructure good but away from the city. No blame on tour company becoz we selected the hotel.
Restaurant staff was not good at all , comparing our experience at other hotels it was not good.
They even charged us for water at hotel.
Room service just picket the garbage and left , no dusting no moping.
Awesome place, especially Cappadocia, hot air ballon, the open air museum with Nigar our first guide and Birk our second guide . Both are so well versed with the history of their country and beyond that they know a lot around the world history , which made our trip very interesting by having very open conversations learning and sharing knowledge. We had the best time in Cappadocia 💕💕
Tiny room. Staff and guests not wearing masks. Unfriendly cafeteria workers. The pool (there are 2) was great. Industrial tourism spot...
I would like to thank the hotel for helping make my niece bday a wonderful experience. They blew 18 ballons while we were on a tour. She came to the room surprised. They also helped me order a bday cake and coordinated it to be celebrated at the Turkish dinner show--all in last minute request. The kids loved the pool and the breakfast was good! We will stay agsin nect time.
Ruhig gelegenes, erholsames Hotel mit schönen Swimmingpool. Hervorragender Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Sehr freundliches Personal
Büyük bir gurup gelene kadar betbattı
It was an authentic but also very clean and well maintained place. Great job with the architecture!
This hotel delightfully exceeded our expectations! With a choice of 2 swimming pools there was plenty of space to spread out and relax, essential when travelling with a family of 2 adults and 4 teenagers. The hotel rate included a huge buffet breakfast and dinner, which was fresh, tasty and convenient after long hot days exploring Cappadocia. The chef prepares the meals using fresh farm grown fruit and vegetables which is located within the hotel grounds. The front reception staff where very helpful and organised taxis to drive us where ever we wanted to go, the taxi company used by the hotel where friendly, honest and helpful. I was apprehensive because of 1 negative review but am glad we went ahead and stayed and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone wanting great value, convenient location, great food and staff.
standards will be upgraded to acceptable levels.
buffet repas pas terrible, couvert de mouches
If you're looking for a good stay in Cappadocia this hotel is a great option. Our room was very clean although somewhat older looking at first glance. It has great character and comforts for the whole family. Other cappadocia hotels I've stayed in drip sand from the ceiling, but this hotel had none of that. Great!! Our kids loved the pool.
Very nice hotel, the location is a little far from town but as we contracted tours, the travel agency came for us.
The external swimming pool is great as well as their beautiful garden, full of flowers and very well kept.
Breakfast and dinner services are very good as well as the restaurant where it is served, wery clean and with very good staff.
Excellent experience!!!! Would be back if again in Kapadokya!!!!
Older hotel situated in a village between the main attractions. Excellent breakfast and dinner provided. Nice pool and friendly staff.
Characterfull hotel, well situated to tour around the major important places of Capadocia.Very good and varied mezze buffet, the hot food buffet was quiet poor in choice and quality. Very good breakfast. Very nice swimming pool. Our room was pretty small for 3 beds and generally very humid because the airconditionning is not working properly to cool and dry the air but works more as a fan. No efficient air evacuation in the small shower room.
Important suggestion for the hotelmanagement: they should ask the tour tourist that wake up at 5 am to do the balloon flight to meet in a seperated inside place so they dont wake up the whole of the hotel at such an early hour.
But we enjoyed our stay here.
Colazione e cena buone.
we were a bit concerned about having to get 2 rooms for the 5 of us but in the end it worked out fine it was worth the food being included in the expenses. Dinners were very good even the children ate alot.
