the hotel is in a great location. For a 3-star property, the food quality, variety, cleanliness, and available facilities are quite good.
The management, the lunch and dinner staff, and the entertainment team are an absolute delight.
Many if not all lounge chairs are damaged and need replacement.
Everything is great in hotel staff food and cleanless and Leyla is fantastic
This year, we were pleasantly surprised by the manager of the hotel, Mrs. Lejla. Completely new and fresh staff. Lejla keeps everything firmly under control. Every day they give us some surprises. Cocktails on the beach and in the lobby bar, as well as themed evenings. It is needless to say that every year we gladly return to this family hotel where we all feel as if we are in our own home and we have the feeling that all of us guests of this Hotel are a big family and that the Hotel Manager Lejla is like a Big Mom who is always at our disposal to solve any of our problems very quickly and truly tries to make the guests always feel as nice and comfortable as in her own home. Because of this feeling of security and trust, a large number of tourists become permanent guests of this Hotel. The hotel staff is also very cultured and good. The food is good and varied. Thank you to the entire team of Cap Mahdia Hotel.
Prelepo iskustvo u hotelu Cap Mahdia. Atomosfera divna, opustajuca, sobe sasvim korektne. Plaza i more prelepo, toplo, cisto. Jako ljubazno osoblje, spremno za svaku saradnju.
A beautiful experience at the Cap Mahdia Hotel. The atomosphere is wonderful, relaxing, the rooms are quite correct. They are cleaned and arranged daily. Food on an all-inclusive basis is great, for everyone's taste. The beach and the sea are beautiful, warm, clean. Very friendly staff, ready for any cooperation.
Went for 2 weeks- 2nd June, with my son and female friend.
Good points-
Very friendly and helpful reception staff, spa staff, rep, catering staff and cleaning staff. These staff all worked extremely hard considering there was up to 500 guest upon us vacating.
Good variety of drinks and food included.
Free large bottle of water given every meal.
Pool and beach area great.
Room/balcony and bathroom good standard.
All areas kept clean and tidy.
Some effort by animation team during the day for adult activity in the pool like aqua aerobics and water football.
Catering staff made effort to make drinks and snack stands in the lobby area on some of the days.
Bad points-
WiFi- only available in the lobby.
Half of the sun beds are broken.
Animation team- Very unprofessional. When greeting they would look at you and roll eyes for no reason when walking past. Had a kids club disco- upon entering they would put music sound up to maximum to make it impossible to sit in for kids (clearing the room and bass so loud it sounded like the speakers where going to burst) then follow you out the room making rude comments to you when you leave, saying you shouldn’t come again. The kids Club was empty every night because of this. Just got an unwelcoming vibe from them.
They would stare and giggle at us females even just going about our normal day at the restaurant eating or passing by.
The animation team also think it’s okay to push in front of you when queuing for food at the buffet.
The only night any entertainment was on was Saturday. The entertainment/animation team was one of the most disappointing things at this resort.
Bar staff made nasty comments towards my friend telling her “she looked ugly last night” when getting a drink, unprovoked.
Water when running a bath was brown colour.
The worst part- beach security! My female friend went for an evening relax at the beach on her own and the beach security tried it on with her (exposing himself inappropriately). Trying to photograph and video her without permission. Security is suppose to protect you from such acts. Despite reporting to other staff it was not taken seriously.
Dining - It is a free for all, make sure you get first sitting or you will be dining at a dirty table, finding your own cutlery, glasses and bottle of water. People act like animals, pushing in front of you acting like there is going to be a food shortage (when food is always replaced) and hoard large plates of food like they are having their last feast!
Food quality- seemed reasonably good for the first week, depending on chefs. Second week raw chicken skewers served and one particular night was sloppy mash potatoes and burgers in gravy (yuck- we went out that night). The occasional lunchtimes were better than dinner times. Food quality really did fluctuate day by day. One evening eating something made me profusely ill, I can only suspect the salad was not cleaned with clean water. I had the runs for the following week and had severe tummy ache. I even had to go to the GP at home when back.
After this I was fed up and just wanted to leave early.
It’s a shame as the hotel has so much potential but it is run down and needs the right staff to make it work. It has an amphitheater and stage that isn’t used, many tennis courts, archery, football area- all which aren’t used. “Kids club during the day” which does not happen.
In summary this resort is not safe or welcoming for women, leaving the resort resulted in better food, service and interactions with locals.
You get what you pay for and there’s a reason why it’s a 3 star. Tunisia is brilliant- however choose another resort.
Just pay the extra £50-100 for a better resort especially if taking family or planning a trip longer than a couple of days.
Woman don’t want to be bullied by male staff members for no reason and sexually pestered by security on their vacation. Both are unacceptable behaviour. And you don’t want to be stuck at an All inclusive resort with food that makes you sick.
Tutto perfetto 👌
