Pros:

L'hotel est situé en plein sassi à Matera. Une fois les touristes partis, le sassi est d'un calme très agréable. Se balader dans les ruelles le soir est très agréable.
La chambre est décorée sommairement mais est confortable. Le spa que je recommande est exceptionnel car le cadre est incroyable : des piscines creusées sous la roche dans des caves.

Cons:

Le petit déjeuner (pain de la veille, croissants mous, etc) dommage que la charcuterie et le fromage ne soient pas à la hauteur alors que la région est réputée pour les deux

Airless room in the heat
Pros:

Although the concept of a cave hotel is a good one, this room was not. They have air conditioning, but it cannot be turned on until June 1st, according to the rules in this region of Italy. I was there in the beginning of May and it was already 80 degrees (F). Imagine my disappointment in learning there was no air conditioning available for my stifling room until June 1st. The only window in the room, which was open, was INSIDE the shower, about 15 feet up. No breeze or air was felt coming through this window. I had to practically beg them for a fan. I was eventually given the only fan in the hotel. Put a fan in every room to make it bearable. Otherwise, if you are considering this hotel, move on to something else.

Un endroit idéale pour une immersion à Matéra et un spa à couper le souffle

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l'emplacement de l'hôtel, la chambre tant par sa surface que par sa déco, la vue sur les toits de MATERA et le spa...extraordinaire!

Cons:

Le personnel, à l'exception des personnes au SPA, toutes les autres, sans exception sont antipathiques! Je précise que c'est une exception car nous avons sur le même séjour été dans 4 hôtels différents et n'y avons rencontré que des personnes très sympas, pros et à l'écoute de leurs clients.

Little gem in the Sassi labyrinth
Pros:

Second time I am staying here, first time more than 15 years ago and is like in my souvenir. Beautiful and The thermes are a plus. Very well situated in the Sassi of Matera. The staff is very efficient and welcoming. Great breakfast.

Bella struttura, ottima colazione, ottima posizione, molto pulito. Staff gentile e disponibile. Buona anche la spa.

Purtroppo siamo state svegliate nel cuore della notte da qualcuno che è venuto a tirare calci alla porta della nostra dépendance a 5 min a piedi dalla sede principale dell'albergo. Capiamo che non sia stato colpa dell'hotel ma magari dovrebbe essere premura di chi lo gestisce mettere - per esempio - delle grate o qualcos'altro a protezione delle mere portoncine di legno delle dépendance. Soprattutto, visto che erano già a conoscenza dell'esistenza di "disturbatori notturni", avremmo preferito essere informate prima di questo rischio, così da non spaventarci. Ad onor del vero, abbiamo beneficiato di uno sconto nei confronti, però, di due delle nostre amiche che hanno usufruito solo della spa e non della camera.
