All staff were amazing - poor planning meant your man on reception the night I arrived was run ragged by a group of footballers so I had to wait 15 mins to get into my room (this was after an hour delay in my flight so gone midnight), so I was a bit grumpy on arrival - he was charm itself when he finally got to me, so all understandable and all good.
We were running a conference the next day so a welcome breakfast was had after a lovely nights sleep in a lovely bedroom.
Shaun (or Sean) our hotel representative for the day made sure all the provisions were there, ready and he pre-empted everything before it happened. There was also care and attention given to our delegates with dietary requirements. Again - Shaun/Sean was a godsend.
The Wi-Fi was dreadful - sadly the connections disrupted our conference as it kept dropping out so we lost the international speakers. Not ideal. This was handled really well by the staff.
The hotel was beautiful clean and the beds were so comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful.

A place I had never been despite driving past regularly. Was given a voucher for my birthday and thought let's go on a Sunday afternoon. We went to the main walk in restaurant where you don't prebook. I had a mixed grill which I haven't had in years and the wife salmon. The portion sizes are fantastic. The size of the salmon was the largest we had ever seen in a restaurant and she who must be obeyed said it was so lightl and tender. My mixed grill was brilliant. We don't usually do desserts but looked at the menu and thought why not. Brilliant friendly staff, tasty food, large portions and very reasonably priced. Going to be calling in more often

Cooked breakfast was good. Beds were very comfortable.
Would have liked more choice for continental breakfast. There was no air conditioning. The area by the toilets was very smelly. Shower in our room was almost hanging off the wall.
Have been coming to eat here with family since the early 1970s but I live in England now and stayed here when visiting family. Its brilliant. Lovely staff, beautiful decor, clean and comfortable room, easy parking and most of all the food - either the Bar/Grill or the Restaurant are outstanding and the prices were extremely good for the quality of food and experience. Will always be my go to hotel.
