The Rose Hotel

My mother and I enjoyed a fantastic lunch at the Rose Hotel in Tralee this week. From arrival we were exquisitely well looked after. Duty Manager Anne Doona greeted us, advised us there would be a short wait for a suitable table but invited us to look at the lunch menus in comfortable chairs in the lobby. As soon as she had a table she escorted us to the dining room as the bar was still too busy. Anne’s warm welcome and her genuine interest in our comfort was incredible and we were delighted to chat a little with her as she handed us over to our server who was also excellent. If you are looking for somewhere terrific for lunch in Tralee give the Rose Hotel a go, you won’t be disappointed, the food was excellent and prices were good.

Superb hotel with very friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Based in Tralee Co Kerry, Ireland it provides an excellent location for exploring all that Co Kerry has to offer.
Very cosy and welcoming atmosphere, spacious comfortable rooms with air conditioning.
Excellent breakfast is available and food in both restaurant and bar was top notch.

So many positives . . . I contacted the hotel by email prior to our stay with regard to storing my elderly father's eye drops in a cold place. I was so impressed with how quickly I got a reply from Maud. She was so helpful and it put our minds at rest. This may seem like a small thing to some but what a good impression it gives of the hotel and the efficiency of the staff. Also, this is not the level of service that I experienced at a different hotel a couple of years ago when asking for recommendations for a mobile hairdresser as we were staying over for 2 nights for a wedding. The email was ignored. Not a great start .Moving on from there , lovely warm friendly welcome. The complimentary tea/coffee and scones is a lovely touch, particularly for those who have travelled a distance. My parents have been to the hotel many times and my mother said that she loves this welcome treat as she feels that it’s the first time that she can relax and look forward to the break after the ironing and packing the days before.The rooms were very spacious and so comfortable. Fantastic to have a fridge to keep water cool. The breakfast buffet and menu . . . . well , there was absolutely everything available and everything was beautiful.The dinner menu is fantastic and having a specials menu each night makes dinner time more exciting. It seems crazy to say but I think that portion size is perhaps too big. Others may disagree. I feel bad mentioning the staff last as it is because of the staff that everything is so great. Every member of staff was friendly , helpful , efficient . . . but for me , it was the friendliness and the warmth that stood out. They all seem to be so happy in their roles. I am so annoyed that I didn't get everyone's name (I only asked Reuben, Aileen and Maud) as everyone, and I mean everyone, was brilliant. Those of you whose names I didn't get, rest assured that we thought just as highly of you. So looking forward to returning. Well done to all of you and thank you all most sincerely. Keep up the good work.

We celebrated our daughter’s confirmation with a meal in the restaurant. The food was excellent as was the service and attention from the staff. I would highly recommend the restaurant at The Rose Hotel for any occasion.

My mother and aunt had a two night stay in this hotel. The room , the food the atmosphere were all outstanding. They were so well looked after and couldn't compliment the experience enough. Special thanks to Ellen Griffin for making the stay so pleasurable. They would highly recommend this hotel.

We celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday with a Serenity Spa experience and afternoon tea afterwards . It was a gorgeous day and everything was perfect. The staff were especially lovely and accomodating. Thank you for a memorable day x

We had a very relaxing two day break in the Rose Hotel.Everything was perfect as usual. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food was excellent and the room was top class. We find the location perfect with plenty of parking and also situated just across the road from the town park.

A wonderful stay at The Rose Hotel. Would highly recommend. A member of our group has special needs and the hotel were so accommodating and made everyone feel at ease.

Stayed at the hotel for Valentines and the staff made it worth every penny. From the moment we walked in the door very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Room was first class and the staff are so on the ball there. Would recommend this hotel if someone wants value for money and a fantastic experience.
