The Green Room Hotel

We discovered the green room on Airbnb as we were looking for a place to stay near family and fell in love with this renovated motel. It has effortless style, great amenities and is so convenient to everything in the area. We have rebooked here multiple times as it is now our go to place when visiting family.

The Green Room was just what I was looking for: quaint, clean and great customer service. Love the vibe of the room. Mattress and pillows were really comfortable! The donut shop down the street provided complimentary coffee and donuts on Saturday morning which was a "sweet" perk! Texting with the staff was easy and they were very responsive. I will definitely be back in the future.

I am not sure how this place has so many 5 star reviews.
There was loud street noise, it was absolutely absurd. This place is right on a fairly busy highway. And there was a loud generator running somewhere, combined with honking horns, motorcycles, and more.
The remote for the TV did not work, I think it was out of batteries.
The WiFi was spotty and was on and off. I had to use my iPhone as a hotspot instead.
The water handle in the shower was so loose it almost fell off.
But the room was clean, and stocked with all it needed.
But I do believe the purpose of a hotel room is still to get some sleep. I got a horrible night's sleep, and couldn't even use their Wi-Fi. Those are the two key things I need in a hotel room.
There's no way I can recommend this place, and I will positively never come back.
I guess if you needed an inexpensive place to stay in the area and don't mind noise, maybe it's worth the suffering. But be prepared for some things to be broken in the room.

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights while attending a wedding nearby. We loved the room , bed comfy and cute room spotless. A little concerned about noise because close to PCH but was not an issue. Self checkin is terrific. We had an air conditioning issue when arrived. Called the contact number that you are given and while we were out to dinner, they immediately fixed the problem. Price in the area can not be beat for such comfort. Will highly recommend and would definetly stay again.

These days, corporate chain hotels (even reputable ones) seem less and less reliable for amenities and a great service experience. The Green Room Hotel shows how a single location hotel can go above and beyond. They have responsive textable customer service for anytime you need something.

The beds are COMFORTABLE and clean, so you’ll have a great night of sleep. The room is CLEAN and you can tell they made a concerted effort to have stylish and fun decor. You can walk to the beach and other restaurants and shops. We even walked all the way to the pier. When you stay, I highly recommend walking right down the block for breakfast at Don’s Country Kitchen!!

There is also a discreet trash/recyclable disposal area in the parking lot which is very clean and accessible. It’s great since sometimes you have food late-night and want to get rid of the trash right away. Parking lot is free and you don’t have to register your car, just pull in and access your room. I like that you use a code to enter the rooms so you don’t have to worry about carrying around a room key.

Overall, I would DEFINITELY recommend this place as a cute and comfortable staycation/vacation spot! Thanks Green Room!!!

I cannot recommend this hotel enough! I had to stay somewhere because of work being done in my apartment, and I’m very glad to have stumbled about The Green Room Hotel. They were very accommodating of my little dog Carl and had excellent communication throughout.

The room itself is tucked away just off the 101 in a brick bungalow that is set up very well for guests. The room was immaculately clean! Having a fridge and mini freezer was perfect and made the space feel more like home. I honestly wish I was staying more than one night so I could take more advantage of the patio area and the cool restaurants and bars nearby.

The whole checking in and checking out process is a breeze. Plenty of parking as well. I would recommend staying here to anyone who is looking to visit the Oceanside / Carlsbad area. I will be back for sure!

We enjoyed a three day stay in the Green Room. We spent most of our time on the patio soaking up the sun. Our rooms were spacious, clean and well supplied. The hotel is in a walkable area with interesting restaurants and small shops. Carlsbad Beach is not far either. The Green Room has beach chairs and bikes as well some surf boards available. The staff is always available by phone or email.

I freaking love The Green Room! This is our 2nd or 3rd stay, and I’ll keep coming back as long as it’s there. The location is fantastic, being close to a lot of local shopping, restaurants, the beach, and other activities. Most of which we walked to, or it was a very short car ride. The room itself was clean, set up well, and detached from other rooms which was nice. It’s next to a main road but it’s still surprisingly quiet and didn’t disturb us. The property is lovely, with a hot tub, fire pit, and outdoor seating. Any questions we had were answered within just a few minutes of sending a text. Everything about staying here is super easy - I swear I wish I could live here!!!

This is my second stay at The Green Room and it was great! Check in is so easy and the hosts are very responsive if questions come up. It's in a great location close to Oceanside and Carlsbad. Very quite and comfortable.

Wonderful place to stay, very peaceful and the room was very clean and unique.

The service was great and the room was nice and spacious for my family of 4.
Our texts were responded to right away and they even had a charger we were able to borrow in a pinch.

Loved the ambience and look of the place. Perfect description of a boutique hotel. Small added touches like water in the fridge and kettle corn in the basket were appreciated and set this place above other hotels.-
Loved the retro look.

Cute vintage styled room with kichenette! Only 12 units, all ground floor. Close to beach, shopping, restaurants.Also good for kids and dogs!

Good spot for solo traveler...clean room lots of towels. Weekend traffic on the coast highway busy....fun places close by. Pay attention to the entrance. Hot tub parking fire pit bikes boards.....

Solid stone walls comfortably set up cottage style room with bathroom good for solo travel.

Great little getaway with all the amenities you’d want nearby! We loved the well designed rooms, the little market across the street and the fact that we could walk to dinner and drinks!

Stayed at the property for a weekend getaway and it was great. Great location, nice rooms. Will definitely stay again.

Everything was charming. Location walking distance from delicious restaurants, the decor was cool and welcoming, room large and we'll appointed, bed, blankets, and pillows were so comfortable. Will be back to ride the bikes, sip coffee on the side patio and dip in the hot tub.
