Pros:

The room was newly renovated. However no attempt was made to clean it between days. I didn't even see a maid service?

Cons:

The biggest problem was the breakfast. I truly believe someone inexperienced was trying to cook.
The first morning I had pancakes they were under cooked so I couldn't finish them the 2 tiny ones that were.
The 2nd morning I tried the western omelet I took 2 bites and knew if I continued I'd be sick. I felt the effects of those 2 bites all day!
Lastly I went down stairs to use the washroom it was dirty I believe an employee came out of the stall when I was there.
I told him they were out of paper towels to dry your hands he just looked at me and didn't wash his, I truly hope he wasn't the cook!!

Disappointing.
Pros:

The location of the room was very good relative to the water. The woman at the check in was polite, The breakfast was nothing special but acceptable.

Cons:

For the price the hotel is really below average. There is no elevator and no one offered to help carry the luggage up a steep staircase. The room smelled musty, the air conditioner is a wall unit and very noisy. The room was dark and old looking. It felt like a 1990s motel.

Beautiful exterior grounds They need to fix mildew problem and gas leek!!!!
Pros:

The location was perfect and the facilities with the Adirondack chairs chairs overlooking the water was beautiful. The breakfast was good.

Cons:

I was disappointed that they didn’t have scallops going into the weekend starting on a Friday night for dinner with a limited menu including seafood.
The room stunk of mildew, which made it very hard to be in and I was concerned for health reason.
Also just outside of our room was a stronger smell of natural gas. When we mentioned it to front desk they said it was looked st yesterday and it was nothing. When I gave them a questionable look they said they would give them another call.

Great location for a one night stay
Pros:

Friendly lady on front desk, great location, easy parking and comfortable beds.
Female staff at breakfast was very kind and sweet.

Cons:

Male staff in restaurant needs training on manners when dealing with customers, as a result we ate at restaurant across the street which was wonderful service and food.
Curtains need an upgrade so that you can actually block out light without blocking off the air conditioning unit in room.

We paid for comfort and location , no other extras that would make us come back. Those stairs !!!!
Pros:

Location, close to town, other restaurants, playhouse, boat cruise, harbor , welcoming lobby and hard working staff ( I saw 4 young men cleaning rooms), a nice historical building, antique furniture and historical documents. The king size bed was comfy with very good pillows and comforter, good reception on the tv ( bathroom was fair as some mold needed removal), free coffee and extra comfy chairs. Walking distance to town, and the playhouse , beautiful property near the harbor.

Cons:

Front desk clerk , a young man who was just stepping in for that night was not equipped with the knowledge of how to find my paid in full reservation. After showing him proof he made a phone call and we were able to check in. We are in our 70's and they knew I was celebrating a birthday and yet we were still assigned a room on the 3rd floor ( NO ELEVATOR) facing the front street. ( No way to change since the young man at the front desk had no clue how to do it )

Staff at breakfast area were extremely slow to clean off the tables to sit, give us a menu and take our order ( which by the way one was done incorrectly) Their cooks tend to use Pakistani ways of making omelettes so be aware of that. We did not eat in any of their other restaurants.

I had requested a mini fridge and it did not work, I had sent a message through booking.com and there was no response. I had yogurt, cheese sticks and half a chicken wrap spoil and one medication that needed refrigeration.

The first night the fire alarm went off for about 1 minute and several of us in the rooms around 9 pm came out to see if there was smoke or anyone telling us on the 3rd floor to come down. After it was turned off and we all went back to our rooms , it happened again. So once again we look for anyone telling us this is a serious and real need to evacuate. NOTHING . NOBODY called us and told us ANYTHING about what happened.

There is a lack of training in my opinion on what is important to a guest at their hotel. We paid $456 for 2 nights including breakfast .
Lastly we had to run the shower literally 5-10 minutes to get hot water. ( maybe since we were on the 3rd floor)

Wonderful overnight get-a-way, walking distance to everything, beautiful sites.
Pros:

We loved the location and how clean the rooms and the common areas were. Very quiet. Even though we did not get a waterfront view, I think it would be difficult to not see the water from any vantage point in the rooms.

Cons:

I didn't like that there was no mini fridge or small microwave. Everything was on the main floor, including ice. A little annoying to go up and down after you check in or decide to get ice. No one gave us this information so we had to wander to find the ice machine.
