Les Oliviers Palace

One night stay as part of a group tour. Did not visit anything in Sfax, just used hotel as a stopover. Arrived 6pm ,for an included meal at 7pm. No time to use pool (saw it, seemed too small to swim in ,just an add on to beauty treatments?)
Room adequate , had cups/tea/sugar sachets but no kettle. Window opened onto small balcony with view of tatty buildings opposite.
Meal tedious French style 3 course. Very bland . Had to ask twice (in French) to get a home made lemonade.

Very well located, walking distance to the Medina and restaurants. Be mindful that most restaurants are closed for dinner on Sunday, except the hotel restaurant which was good. The staff is friendly, considerate & competent. I recommend this hotel.

Have been staying at Les Olivier for a few years. Love the locations d exterior decor. Hotel rooms are a little dated. The main let down for the hotel are the look AC and terrible WiFi in the rooms. For a business traveller these are essential especially when 38 degrees outside. Tried the restraunt for first time. Carbonara wasn’t great but filling. Breakfast staff had run out of bread and did nothing to help locate any. Plenty of other items to select from.

La chambre n’était vraiment pas à la hauteur. Une forte odeur d’humidité régnait dans toute la pièce, accompagnée de beaucoup de poussière, comme si la chambre n’avait pas été aérée ni utilisée depuis un certain temps. Le frigo était dans un état déplorable (voir photo en pièce jointe). Franchement, je suis très déçu par cette expérience et je ne compte pas revenir.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The front desk manager was extremely rude, refusing to provide their name and stating.
When I asked for a place to sit and work, they responded dismissively, "We have no place for you."
The security staff was also impolite.
This level of disrespect is unacceptable for a hotel of this standing. Avoid if you expect professionalism!

Five star it isn’t, one night stay , dinner was lukewarm , rooms tired but ok. The main issue is health and safety. In the morning the lift nearest to my room on the sixth floor didn’t work , people could go up to the floor in it but you couldn’t open it / call it to go down so there were other options , one, to walk around most of the floor to find the other lift , two, to use the goods lift but that was absolutely filthy but open to walk in and use ?! and three , use the stairs , it wasn’t clear which floor was which to exit the stairs to the dining room so I ended up on the bottom floor to find a hat stand placed at the bottom of the stairs and mattresses to the right of it but worst of all what I can only assume to be fire exit doors were chain padlocked! Fire exit instructions weren’t obviously available so if there was another fire exit there you would still have to move the hat stand and push past the mattresses. Worrying.

Good hotel with nice rooms big rooms and bath tub. The hotel probably one of the best in Sfax and is located in the center of the city. There is, however very little to see/do in the area. The hotel has parking with limited spaces and an indoor swimming pool, but unfortunately there is no gym.
I had a pizza in the hotel restaurant but i did not like it.

meine suite war geräumig, allerdings mußte viel repariert werden. bidet, strom,lampe. ein sehr schönes hallenbad. essen: große karte mit viel versprechungen, die nicht eingehalten werden.

The entrance and the breakfast area are ok as in decore!! But I cannot understand how the management do nothing to control the many flies sitting on the food. Disgustring!!
The room was huge but the carpet was filthy. I died not dare use the towels, I had one of my own.
As someone else said on here, the hotel needs to be shut down and given a major overhaul!!! Some 5* hotel this is, I would think not even 2*!!
You wont see us again for sure (we were 20 people)!!

Lovely building, very traditional. Unique atrium concept. Breakfast was simple and perfectly adequate. Hotel has improved with split type AC in the rooms. Disappointed there wasn’t a single bottle of water provided in the room. Wi fi worked well. Little annoyed loud music started around 6.30am as room overlooked atrium where breakfast was served. Found the bed very firm but overall very happy. Few small improvements could be made.

Rapport qualité-prix pas au rdv. J'en ai fait des hôtels en Tunisie, celui-ci vaut plutôt un 3 étoiles. Pas de wifi gratuit en chambre, pas de balcon, moquette en chambre, pas de toute première jeunesse. Très peu de choix au buffet mais très bon. En revanche les vitres sont sales et la moquette est toute trouée. Dommage.

Bel hôtel, mais un sourire de la part du personnel sera un rendement apprécié. De plus, le petit déjeuner n'est pas du tout digne d'un palace. Bonne expérience en général, mais quand vous croisez du personnel, on vous revient de Eau en bas sans même dire bonjour ou même un sourire dommage à part la dame de l'accueil le reste rien

The location is centered and quiet. The air-con problem needs to be fixed. Helpful staff helped changed my room due to not-so-cool air-con issue. The replaced room maintained just normal temperature enough for me to sleep with only my pants on.
