Perfect stay!
Pros:

Friendly, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was superb. Loved the Sky Bar for sharing platters and cocktails. Hotel was perfectly positioned for sightseeing.

Disappointing
Pros:

Good location.

Cons:

The room needed decorating and was tired. The neighbouring doors banged a lots and other residents were noisy. There was no desirable view and no room service. It was very disappointing as I was treating my sister for her birthday.

Staðsetningin er afar góð og útsýnið úr herberginu var algjörlega frábært. Tiltölulega auðvelt að fá bílastæði sem kom okkur ánægjulega á óvart.

Cons:

Morgunmaturinn var dálítið kaos, of lítið rými, of margir gestir í einu. Það sem bætti upp fyrir það var auðvitað útsýnið.

hay varios hoteles de la cadena center hotels en reykjavik. este no ha sido mi favorito. pero la ubicacion esta muy bien. las vistas tambien. y el personal, como en todos los center hotels, es buenisimo.

Cons:

el hotel esta un poco descuidado en comparación con los otros de la cadena. mi habitacion tenia mala iluminacion. el water era casi de plastico, el pphh durisimo, la bañera funcionaba con un "truco" que tuvieron que subir para explicarme. las paredes muy desgastadas y la sabana que cubre la cama muy pero muy gastada. la cama estaba un poco vieja tambien.

Stay here for the view.
Pros:

The view from my room was amazing and the reception staff were lovely and very helpful. It was cosy and warm and all times which was so nice given it was a snow storm outside the whole time I was there. The location was perfect for exploring and was right next to 2 bus stops for tour pickups and getting to/from the airport.

Cons:

The room was a bit dated and shabby - the bed frame was tattered and the paint on the walls was chipped. Breakfast staff could have explained where things were or what was available but nobody talked other than asking me to pay.

Lovely, as always
Pros:

Third year in a row I have stayed here (for the Reykjavik Open chess tournament).
For me it is pretty perfect. Yes, some of the rooms are on the small size, but for a solo traveller not a problem (and I was pleased that I had a good selection of English channels on the TV this year). I requested a room with a bath, which makes a big difference for me.
The location is ideal, as it's just across the road from the Harpa and only a very short walk to the restaurants and bars of downtown Reykjavik.
The front desk staff are all lovely and really helpful.
The SkyBar has great views, and again the staff are great!
Best thing of all for me is the buffet breakfast (served in the SkyBar). I have a limited diet (because I am fussy) but for me it was everything I could ask for - bacon, sausages, hash brown, the best fresh bread in the world and nice coffee. There's plenty of stuff for less fussy travellers too 🙂
I am seriously thinking of returning for my fourth year in 2027!

Perfect location, fabulous staff
Pros:

Fabulous location, convenient to buses for tour pickups, close to shops and restaurants and very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was lovely

Cons:

Inside was too hot - you had to take off all the coats, hats etc as soon as you walked in the foyer door or you were boiling by the time you got to your room. Rooms excessively heated, needed window open to get comfortable sleeping temperature but then too noisy as it was a blizzard outside. We turned the heater off but still didn’t help enough. Everything else was perfect.
