Shout out to Angie for making my stay at the Outrigger Waikiki Paradise Hotel even more enjoyable. Mahalo
The view was amazing as was the location.
Shannan was the sweetest and nicest pool man at the hotel. Very helpful when we wanted the outside covered sitting areas. He also offered a 2nd area because he knew we wouldn’t all fit and he wanted us to be comfortable. Kudos to Shandan, he’s a great employee
Nice location and perfect housekeeping service:) My fav hotel in Hawaii
I’ve checked-in in Outrigger Paradise for couple of times and I always had a great time. This trip had a wonderful customer service experience with Jenny Gabriel. She’s recognized me from my previous stay in the property and she’s welcomed me and made me feel at home. Thank you Jenny!
First impressions are everything, from getting dropped off up front and having my baggage stored while I check in was a fast and friendly service.
The front desk staff Angie and Cassandra are like the dynamic duo. Super friendly and extremely helpful, as we all know traveling with an infant can be stressful. Angie got me all checked in, informed me of all the events going and local food places that would best suite my family. They really do have the aloha spirit.
The location of this hotel was perfect, close to all the stores and restaurants, the room was clean, the lobby was very beautiful also. Just keep in mind with any downtown hotel the noise level maybe elevated. Overall it was a great value for the money.
Everything was exellent

Outrigger will not make things right if there are any issues.

We came to the Outrigger Waikiki Paradise with a group of 70 people as a part of a group that was put together by out of Chatham Ontario to play in a volleyball tournament in March of 2026.
The entire organization and management of the trip was mishandled.
The hotel did not have the rooms that our group required. We travelled for over 20+ hours to find out that the hotel didn’t honor our reservation made 8 months prior. The tour group did not help in solving this, instead the on-site agent stood there while we attempted to solve the problem ourselves.
Throughout the time we were in Hawaii we had families ordered out of their rooms, displaced multiple times due to hotel miscommunication and ongoing struggles to solve any of the issues we were facing.
Since then the hotel and travel group have promised meeting after meeting to discuss compensation and how to make things right; however, we are weeks away from our trip and there are only empty promises. Our parents are waiting for some resolution, and some explanation on how the most expensive trip our families have paid for ended up in so much mismanagement; however, the hotel only offers token responses while Assist Travel only passes the blame to others.
The hotel will say that the weather played a role in the changes needed, and Assist Travel will say that they were working behind the scenes, the fact remains that our parents never claimed that the weather was an issue. We just never got what we paid for.
The hotel did not step up to solve the issues that they created. That is why you will see many reviews stating our displeasure with the hotel and Assist travels management of what became a horrible experience (including families and groups being separated between hotels, flooded hotel rooms, people locked out of their rooms and so much more).
I hope that people think twice before considering a stay at the Outrigger Property Hotels as well as joining tours with Assist Travel in the future.
We can’t recommend Outrigger Waikīkī Paradise highly enough.
Front desk really make you feel like family
Cassandra and Angie and Tracy and jessie and denise are very helpful and they treat you like a real person I have come to be a friend and that warms my heart shandan at the pool is a very nice man he has my towels and lounger ready for me and we always have a nice talk the rest at the front desk Sophia Jenny and Jessica and Melissa also are very helpful Josie the maid knows what I like and asks me every day if I need anything the other hotel's have asked me to come there but you guys are my family so your stuck with me for life if that's o.k
Our family really enjoyed this hotel. We stayed in a one bedroom and had plenty of space. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the microwave and refrigerator. The balconies were nice as well, although super windy (not like the hotel cam help that, hah). We could also see the ocean from our room. The shower was big enough and I liked the window for ventilation. I would definitely stay there again. All of the staff we dealt with were great as well.
Pros: Central location. Close walk to stores, to Waikiki beach, shopping, and lots of dining options. They have their own parking lot so if you rent a car you have a place to park. Housekeeping was great and very attentive, rooms were always clean every day. In my opinion the beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. We stayed in April so it wasn't too hot but my family and I all run hot so we did have the AC turned down.
Cons: Bathroom is small. If someone is sitting on the toilet and you open the door, you will hit that person. Shower stall can feel a little cramped as well if you are on the larger side. Water pressure was on the weaker side so it took longer to shower. Also, the ventilation in the bathroom was really lacking so (this is TMI) but invest in poo-pourri and some lysol spray for your stay because the smells tend to invade the whole room. Parking fee is a bit pricey at $50 a day.
We didn't use the pool or go to the restaurants because we were always out and about going to other places so I don't have an opinion on those. The small fridge in the room worked fine. Target is a short walk down the street to buy water for your stay. I wish they had more than one ice machine though. The only ice machine for the whole hotel is in the Lobby which is inconvenient.
Overall, our stay was good. The only thing I would change if I were to stay again is to get a room with a microwave. We stayed a week and there were many times we had leftover food and had no way to warm it up.
The location
Nothing to not like just felt very average
The location of this hotel is perfect to be at the center of Waikiki it is next to absolutely everything; Waikiki Beach, the international market, all the restaurants, everything is close. The rooms are gorgeous and so comfortable you cannot ask for anything better. The pool is great there is enough space for everyone and it's super easy to request a beach chair to go to Waikiki. The staff is amazing I have a fantastic encounter with Angie at the reception desk she was so helpful with so many of my questions and we share the same passion for good coffee.
Superb hotel, great location. Mei Lin kept our room spotless.
