Great property, good looking grounds, the staff were friendly and hard working. It's a shame i was there during this Covid outbreak and so the hotel and city were empty. My room wasn't the greatest in the sense that the shower didn't work quite well and the hand and face towels we were given were stained and hence looked dirty and were actually NOT changed when the room was serviced.
Beautiful building. Biggest pool in Granada. Staff were amazing and helpful. Hotel was within walking distance to the main tourist areas.
When we arrived, the area around the hotel had a power cut which lasted until late evening. No fan/aircond. No phone service (we needed to make some phone calls). Got upgraded to a big beautiful room because they were doing renovations to the rooms we booked. Got the furthest room there was. Wifi did not work. Shower didn't work. No hot water. Room was next to a street where we constantly heard noise.
Excellent location, great staff, and customer service. Part of the Hotel is under construction and the noise starts at 7AM. The bathrooms need renovation and the rooms in general need simple better amenities, for example newer and more towels.
This property was gorgeous in every way! Cannot wait to stay here again!
The hotel is in a great location. The antique building is beautiful & the pool is fabulous. My room was clean, as was the lobby area. My negative comments would be about the bed linens & towels. The hotel management should replace them as soon as possible as they have seen better days. In addition, the shower in my room was very difficult to manage.
Staff very friendly and cooperative, food was good
The location was good. It has a very European feel, however the pool area was dark. They advertised the TIKI bar that was not open, and no towels in the room until two hours later. The toilet did not work properly. Probably won't stay here, but where else could you? Many areas of the hotel look dark. Private parking area available inside.
Unfortunately, room had a water leaking ac unit.
Nice, good hotel in town
I loved the staff very polite and helpful. The Hotel was great.
Wait for it... the hot water will come. Takes awhile. Everything else was fantastic. Great staff, unique hotel, good breakfast.
While the front entry of the hotel is somewhat demure, the hotel gets more impressive with each step you take, going fr one grand area to another. This is an old fort/castle that has large rooms with lots of aged mahogany & other local hardwood, stone & brick. Really impressive! The staff was equally impressive with their attentive attitude and exceptional service. I think the pool area is the largest in Granada, with sparkling water, surrounded by comfortable lounge chairs under lots of tiki thatch umbrellas. There is also a chapel with huge arched thick wooden doors. There are multiple rooms for various size gatherings, like weddings(the photo opportunities will make you think you have traveled back in time to the 1800's)The bedroom & bathroom are a nice size, clean & came with an antique beautiful Ropero (Wardrobe). My wife and I stayed in a Deluxe room, that came with double queen beds, dinning room table for six, and a living room that seats eight, plus a safe. The dining room had a fridge, and the air conditioning worked just great! The double balcony had amazing views of Mombacho Volcan surrounded by and its gorgeous nature. I really had nothing to say, but great things about this resort, before I made the reservations I went on line to research about the best resorts in Granada, I chose 4 including this one, then I sent my nephew who lives in Managua to personally go and check all the resorts and send me pictures,The only hotel that match their website was this one!
This was a really cool old hotel. Tons of history. Great service. Food was excellent.
This is not your typical hotel. This is an architectural beauty, colonial master piece, former monastery turned into a Hotel. The pictures on their website don’t do justice. The ONLY bad thing about it was the food selection. They didn’t have a lot of choices, the good thing is that along the street there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Excellent location.
Very loud party with very loud music coming from the pool area until after midnight. Difficult to sleep.
Its really nice at granada hotel. Staff is friendly, breakfast is good. However we stayed the weekend. The wedding party used the pool area after we checked in on saturday and we really coulsnt enjoy the pool, so we had to make other arrangements. But ok on sunday.
Great colonial charm . Super friendly staff, great breakfast
nice hotel lots to do closee to the hotel or take a tour around the beaches or volcanoes of beautyful nicaragua. a hidden gem in central america.the staff at the hotel some nice others a bit disrecpectul we ask dor towels to the pool and i heard somebody say something disrecpectful in spanish behind my back as i was walking away as ask foe towels a 2nd time.apart that no other incidents great place to go .please warn the dront desk employees that all should be treated the same.gracias especial mente latinos
Beautiful and clean Hotel, staff was very knowledgeable, helpful and great location for Granada. Breakfast could be better.
