I was very disappointed with my stay. The hotel is extremely old-fashioned and feels neglected. The carpets are worn and outdated, and the sofa in the room had visible stains, making it look dirty and uninviting.
The cleanliness was well below expectations. There was mould in the bathroom, and I even found hair left behind by a previous guest, which made me question the overall hygiene standards. The curtains were torn, adding to the poor appearance of the room.
I honestly can't believe this hotel is open to the public in its current condition. It is in desperate need of renovation and much better housekeeping. I would not stay here again or recommend it until significant improvements are made.
The photos on the website do not reflect the reality of the hotel or the condition of the rooms. They are misleading and create expectations that are far from what you actually get.

Having a jug in the room rather than using the microwave to boil water for a cup of tea.
Floors of bathroom was very slippery..the heater was not working . Staff was not helpful.
Bathroom floor was slippery n its was a very dangerous for older folks. Breakfast was lousy n expensive

Our first unit had no heat but we were shifted to another unit. This unit had no hot water the first night, which was briefly fixed. No hot water again the next morning.
I like that the rooms where spacious. That it was close wo motorway and easy access to shops
We had a one night stay prior to an international flight. There was ample parking for our hire car and enough space in our room. The restaurant has a more than adequate menu and choice of drinks.
The staff in the restaurant were not up to the usual friendly standard of NZ establishments.
